Faced with the heavy damage caused by floods, on the afternoon of October 10, the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) established a working group led by Mr. Thach Van Chung - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province, Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor, directly visited, encouraged and transferred emergency relief gifts to the people of Tam Giang commune - a locality that was heavily affected by the flood.
In Tam Giang commune, floods have completely isolated 2 villages with about 350 households, many houses were deeply flooded up to the first floor, seriously affecting the lives and activities of the people.
Information from the local government said that evacuation work has been urgently deployed to ensure the safety of people's lives: All students have been relocated to the commune's secondary school for temporary activities. The elderly have been taken to the commune health center to facilitate medical care and ensure health.
The working group presented hundreds of gifts including essential necessities such as instant noodles, drinking water, dry food, milk and many other essential items to households in the two villages.
Mr. Thach Van Chung also suggested that the Tam Giang commune government continue to closely coordinate with functional forces, ensuring adequate food and accommodation, hygiene and safety, and disease prevention at concentrated evacuation points.
The Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to closely monitor the situation, mobilize more resources from grassroots unions and enterprises to promptly support people in Tam Giang and other affected areas to overcome the consequences of floods, especially supporting house repairs and production recovery after the water recedes.
