According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung - Member of the Presidium, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in the first 6 months of 2025, trade unions at all levels coordinated with state agencies and employers to resolve 416 complaints and 55 denunciations; intervene and protect 119 people to return to work, 19 people have had their disciplinary action reduced, of which the compensation and support amount is 1.1 billion VND; 250 people have had their salary resolved, 356 people have had their social insurance resolved, 204 people have had their health insurance resolved, 147 people have had their unemployment insurance resolved, and 22 people have had their severance allowance resolved.
At the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, 4 rounds of cadres, union members, and workers were received to complain, denounce, petition, and reflect, received 29 petitions (7(22 petitions, complaints, 7 petitions, and reflections), and transferred 22 official dispatches to the lower-level trade union and competent agencies, organizations, and individuals.
For applications that are not eligible for acceptance such as applications without signature, without the address of the submitter, applications that have been decided by the competent authority, the application will be kept in accordance with regulations.
The work of receiving union members and workers, handling, resolving and participating in resolving feedback, recommendations, complaints and denunciations of union members and workers has generally been advised and implemented well by inspection committees at all levels of trade unions, so in the first 6 months of 2025, the number of long-term complaints and many complaints decreased compared to previous years.
In the first 6 months of 2025, trade unions at all levels organized professional training on inspection and examination for 106,085 members. Specifically: provincial and sectoral trade unions trained 459 members; trade unions at the direct superior level trained 3,192 members; grassroots trade unions trained 102,434 members.
