On October 18, Mr. Nguyen The Hoan - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Tinh province, Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial Federation of Labor - said that storm No. 10 had severely affected the lives, jobs of union members, workers and production and business activities of enterprises in Ha Tinh province. Many families of union members and workers have had their houses, assets damaged, and their lives are facing many difficulties.
In order to promptly help union members overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives, the Ha Tinh Provincial Federation of Labor has requested the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to provide financial support. At the same time, the Provincial Federation of Labor also launched a fundraising campaign among cadres for each person with one day's salary and directed grassroots unions to coordinate and request that professionals and employers pay attention and support union members and workers affected and affected.

Just 3 days after storm No. 10, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded 200 million VND to the Ha Tinh Provincial Federation of Labor to support union members and workers in Ha Tinh to overcome the damage caused by the storm.
On October 1, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor directly, together with leaders of the Ha Tinh Provincial Federation of Labor and officials of the Ha Tinh Provincial Economic Zone Trade Union, inspected the damage caused by storm No. 10 at Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Plant in Vung Ang Ward.
Here, the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor shared the great damage to the Company and the Factory. At the same time, he encouraged the leaders, officers and employees of Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Company to strive to overcome difficulties, promptly overcome the consequences, soon stabilize production, ensure jobs, income and life for workers.
To promptly encourage the workers, the delegation presented 10 gifts to 10 workers of Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Company Limited, each gift worth 2 million VND.
Next, the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, together with the leaders of the Ha Tinh Provincial Federation of Labor and officials of the Ha Tinh Economic Zone Trade Union, directly came to present support to 2 workers whose houses had their roofs completely blown off after the storm, each support period was 2 million VND.
That is the case of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Yen (residing in Hoanh Son ward) - a union member of Hieu Thuan Company and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (residing in Vung Ang ward) - a union member of Viet Hai Dredge Company.

Receiving support after the storm, Ms. Yen shared: "The storm caused heavy damage to my family. After the storm, the family received timely attention, encouragement and support from the Trade Union organization, which helped me feel warm. The amount of support is not large but has given me motivation to try to overcome difficulties.
In the following days, the Ha Tinh Provincial Federation of Labor focused on reviewing and approving the list, from October 8 to 10, sending working groups directly to the grassroots to visit and present 341 gifts (each worth from 500 thousand VND - 2 million VND, depending on the level of damage) from the support of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to union members affected by storm No. 10.
Trade Union and enterprise turn to workers
After storm No. 10, many companies and affiliated units of Ha Tinh Mineral and Trading Corporation (Mitraco) were also affected and suffered great damage. However, in order to promptly support workers, the Trade Union and Mitraco's professional staff visited and supported 35 union members and workers affected by the storm with a total amount of 161 million VND.

In addition, Ha Tinh Mineral and Trading Corporation has also donated 200 million VND through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Tinh province to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
After storm No. 10, the leaders of Song La Xanh Packaging Joint Stock Company in coordination with the grassroots Trade Union visited and presented support and encouragement to workers' families whose houses and assets were damaged.

Many other enterprises have also promptly visited and presented support to union members and workers affected by storm No. 10.
The support fund is not large but shows the concern, sharing, and companionship of the trade union organization and the employer for union members and workers. Thereby, it adds motivation for them to strive to rise up, soon stabilize their lives, and work with peace of mind to recover after natural disasters.
