Go into the kitchen with workers
Recently, before the Union Meal program organized by the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor in coordination with the Union of the Central Garment Development Joint Stock Company, Mr. Truong Huu Nghia - Chairman of the Company's Union - was present at the company's kitchen to cook the menu together.
"I want a truly quality, different meal so that workers can remember it for a long time and feel appreciated" - Mr. Nghia shared.
The daily lunch meals of workers here are worth about 20,000 VND. However, for the Union Meal, the payment for each meal is increased to VND50,000, of which VND10,000 is supported by the Trade Union and VND20,000 is sponsored by the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor. The menu is carefully considered to be both delicious and nutritious, including crispy fried chicken thighs, sweet and salty shrimp, fried sausage, stir-fried vegetables, meat- ingredient soup and dessert with cool yogurt.
Ms. Ngo Thi Thu Hien - an expert of the Industrial Park Trade Union of the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor - and union officials went to the company to check the origin and quality of the food, ensuring that the meal was not only delicious but also safe.
Warm meals - connecting employees and businesses
Ms. Vo Thi Hoa (residing in Vinh Thuy commune, Quang Tri province) has worked at the Central Garment Development Joint Stock Company for more than 6 years, with the monthly salary she receives being nearly 8 million VND. Ms. Hoa said that the company cares about employees, and encourages them with gifts every holiday.
"Today's meal is not only delicious but also warm. It erases the gap, making us more attached to the company, to the Trade Union organization" - Ms. Hoa said.
For Mr. Le Quang Duc - a worker in difficult circumstances, the Union Meal was even more special when he and 9 other colleagues received a support gift worth VND500,000/gift from the Provincial Federation of Labor.
"I hope to stay here for a long time because here, the leaders are very interested in workers' lives" - Mr. Duc expressed.
Company representative, Ms. Ta Thi Cam Van said that the smooth coordination between the company and the Trade Union organization is a key factor in creating a friendly and cohesive working environment.
Sitting next to the rice tray with the workers, Mr. Phan Thanh Lan - Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor - did not hesitate to share his portion with a pregnant female worker. That moment made the workers in the rice tray laugh brightly because they saw the close image.
According to Mr. Phan Thanh Lan, the Union Meal is taken care of with the wholeheart of the Union officials - those who understand that sincere sharing sometimes starts from the most simple things: A delicious meal, a word of encouragement, a handshake in affection with colleagues.
That is also the strong bond between employees and the Trade Union - which always takes the happiness and peace of mind of employees as the center for all actions - Mr. Phan Thanh Lan shared.
