On December 8, according to information from the Cao Bang Provincial Federation of Labor, the unit has just coordinated with the National Defense Trade Union, the People's Public Security Trade Union and the Vietnam Coal and Minerals Trade Union to organize the inauguration ceremony of the projects including "Lighting up the Countryside Roads", public housing and dining room for teachers and students in Mai Long commune, Nguyen Binh district.
These educational institutions previously faced many difficulties in terms of public housing, toilets and kitchens for students. Teachers had to live in temporary, degraded houses that did not ensure living and teaching conditions.
Faced with this situation, the Cao Bang Provincial Federation of Labor has mobilized and connected organizations and units to support project implementation, including:
The public housing and dining room projects were built at 4 school locations with a total area of nearly 500 m2. The project "Lighting up the Country Roads" with 340 solar-powered lamp posts was installed in residential areas, schools and cultural houses.
The project has a total budget of nearly 4 billion VND, of which the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group sponsored 3 billion VND to build public housing; the People's Public Security Trade Union supported 350 million VND to build kitchens for students and the National Defense Trade Union supported more than 565 million VND for the project "Lighting up the countryside roads".
After 5 months of construction, the projects were completed and put into use, contributing to improving teaching and learning conditions for teachers and students.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee cut the ribbon to inaugurate and hand over the works. At the same time, 100 gifts (VND 1 million/gift) were given to disadvantaged students in Mai Long commune.
The Golden Heart Social Charity Fund also supported 360 million VND (money and goods) to help workers overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
These projects are also meaningful activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024).
