Today, June 3, the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union for the 2026-2031 term officially takes place at the National Convention Center (Hanoi), the Congress takes place from June 3 to 5, 2026.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the event gathered 780 outstanding delegates, carrying the will, aspirations and intelligence of nearly 10 million trade union members nationwide.
The 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour is the most important political event of the working class and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour organization. 780 delegates attending were typical trade union officials and union members representing industries, fields, localities and units nationwide.
The overarching theme of this Congress is building a comprehensively strong Vietnam Trade Union; focusing on representing, caring for, and protecting union members and workers; promoting pioneering roles, the spirit of innovation, contributing to realizing the aspiration to build a rich, prosperous, civilized, and happy country.
Within the framework of the Congress, delegates will focus on summarizing and evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the 13th Vietnam Trade Union Congress; reviewing the activities of the 13th Executive Committee; and at the same time identifying goals, tasks and breakthroughs in the 2026-2031 term. The Congress will also consider amending the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union and elect the Executive Committee of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to lead the workers' movement in the new period.
The Congress takes place in 3 official working days (from June 3 to June 5).
Display space of typical works, products, initiatives, and creations of union members and workers nationwide
To celebrate the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organizes a Display Space for typical works, products, initiatives, and creations of union members and workers nationwide. The activity takes place from June 3rd to the end of June 5th, 2026 at the National Convention Center, Hanoi Capital.
This is one of the outstanding activities taking place within the framework of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, and also an opportunity to honor the intelligence, bravery and contributions of the Vietnamese working class in the cause of industrialization, modernization and international integration; continuing to affirm the pioneering role of workers in the cause of rapid and sustainable development of the country.
Gathering at the Exhibition Space are typical works, products, models, technical solutions and initiatives selected from the emulation movement of good labor, creative labor nationwide. Each product not only reflects the level of skills, innovative thinking and the ability to master science and technology of Vietnamese workers, but also reflects the spirit of daring to think, dare to do, dare to innovate for the development of the industry, unit and country.
The highlight of the activity is the participation of 24 typical units representing key economic sectors, armed forces, science and technology sectors and localities with strong workers and labor movements. Including the National Defense Trade Union, the People's Police Trade Union, the Science and Technology Trade Union, the Coal and Minerals Trade Union, the National Industry and Energy Group Trade Union, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union, the Vietnam Education Trade Union, the Vietnam Health Trade Union, the Vietnam Industry and Trade Trade Union, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union, the Vietnam Construction Trade Union, the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union, the Vietnam Agriculture and Environment Trade Union; along with the Labor Federations of localities Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hai Phong, Can Tho, Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh and Thanh Hoa.
The presence of typical industries, fields and localities shows the strong spread of the patriotic emulation movement among workers, civil servants, and laborers nationwide; the increasingly important role of Vietnamese workers in digital transformation, green economic development, digital economy and national innovation.
The exhibition space is designed in a modern, intuitive and experiential direction. The exhibition areas recreate the creative journey of Vietnamese workers through many projects and products applying high technology, digital transformation solutions, technical innovation initiatives, green production models, energy saving... Thereby contributing to spreading the spirit of innovation and arousing the aspiration to contribute in the whole society.
