Article 12. Regime and policies for people mobilized to participate in management and protection activities of national defense works and military zones who are sick, have accidents, are injured, or die while performing their duties
1. People participating in social insurance and health insurance who are sick, have an accident, are injured, or die while performing the task of managing and protecting national defense works and military zones shall enjoy the benefits prescribed by law on social insurance and health insurance and shall be paid for the co-payment costs and medical expenses not included in the list paid by health insurance.
2. People who do not participate in health insurance who are sick, have an accident, or are injured while performing the task of managing and protecting national defense works and military zones will be paid for all medical examination and treatment costs.
3. People who do not participate in social insurance but have an accident that reduces their working capacity according to the conclusion of the Medical Assessment Council will be considered for a subsidy depending on the level of reduced working capacity; if they die, their relatives will receive a death benefit and funeral allowance.
4. Those who are injured or die while performing their duties shall be considered for the same regime and policies as war invalids or shall be considered for recognition as martyrs and shall enjoy other rights as prescribed by law.
