After the merger into Ho Chi Minh City, 4 commune-level administrative units were established in the old Long Dat district (under the old Ba Ria - Vung Tau province). Of which, only 3 units are eligible to establish commune unions.
Grassroots trade unions (CDCS) - union members in Long Hai commune (including 14 grassroots trade unions - 469 union members - not eligible to establish a commune trade union) are assigned to the Phuoc Hai commune trade union for management.
Details of the 3 commune unions established in the old Long Dat district, now under Ho Chi Minh City are as follows:
Phuoc Hai Commune Trade Union (in charge of Long Hai Commune): 33 grassroots trade unions and 1,982 union members.
Long Dien Commune Trade Union: 15 grassroots trade unions and 3,002 union members.
Dat Do Commune Union: 26 grassroots unions and 4568 union members.
Thus, in 30 commune-level administrative units in the old Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, a total of 18 commune and ward-level trade unions were established; with a total of 922 grassroots trade unions and 126,558 union members.
