Timely encouragement for difficult cases
Having just had a traffic accident and worrying about the living expenses and treatment in the coming days, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong (worker of Prime Asia Vietnam Co., Ltd., headquartered in My Xuan A2 Industrial Park, Phu My town) was very moved when receiving a gift of encouragement and support from the company's grassroots trade union.
The amount of 105 million VND was called for and mobilized by the Trade Union from workers in a short time to share with union members and support Ms. Huong to overcome difficulties. "I am very grateful for the affection of the workers, the company and the trade union for supporting me in difficult times" - Ms. Huong said.
Recently, union member Tran Thanh Tam (a worker of Chang Chun Vina Company Limited, Long Dien district) was also happy to receive the handover of the newly completed Union Shelter.
Mr. Tam's old house was dilapidated and degraded, but he had no means to repair it. With the support of 50 million VND from the Provincial Federation of Labor, along with the support of the company's union and some borrowed money, Mr. Tam and his family now have a stable and spacious place to live with an area of 60 square meters.
“Thank you very much for the support and sharing from the union and the company in the past time. Although it was hard, now that I have a new, spacious house and a stable place to live, I feel very secure to work and produce,” Mr. Tam shared.
Good working environment, employees will be more committed
With more than 1,900 employees, the Board of Directors and the Trade Union of Prime Asia Vietnam Company have made efforts to create a good working environment for workers, with an average income of about 11 million VND/month. Many policies beneficial to workers have been implemented by the company such as: providing living expenses for workers living outside the dormitory; reducing working hours for female workers who are 7 months pregnant but still receive full salary; childcare allowance for workers...
“These practical activities help improve the lives of workers, thereby making them feel secure at work. Therefore, work efficiency is also improved, stabilizing the workforce working at the company in a harmonious and effective working environment,” said Mr. Nguyen Tan Phat, Chairman of the Trade Union of Prime Asia Vietnam Company.
Also working side by side with workers, Greentech Headgear Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Chau Duc Industrial Park) has launched many programs to care for female workers. For example, equipping a fully equipped lactation room with a separate area so that female workers can exclusively breastfeed their children. "This is a great thing for female workers with young children when they return to work" - Ms. To Uyen - a female worker - commented.
