Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of Hai Phong City Labor Federation - said that the organization of the Trade Union Tet Market aims to focus resources on caring for union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers to celebrate Tet warmly and joyfully; and at the same time create conditions for union members and laborers to proactively choose and purchase essential goods and products to serve family life during the Tet holiday. The Tet Market is organized in 2 phases: Phase 1 from January 28 to February 1 at Viet Tiep Friendship Labor Culture Palace; Phase 2 from February 4 to February 8 at the Legal Consulting and Support Center for Workers (facility 2). The program has more than 200 booths displaying and introducing OCOP products, quality local products, with preferential prices for union members and laborers, along with many attractive and joyful cultural and artistic and sports activities.
Participating in the Hai Phong Trade Union Tet Market for the 3rd time, Mr. Nguyen Van Bac - representative of Hong Ha Production and Business Facility (Dak Lak) said that the volume of goods consumed at the fair every year is very large. This year, the facility has displayed 7 typical items, all of which are typical products of Dak Lak. Among them, turmeric starch products have achieved the OCOP 3-star certification. From the afternoon of January 27, when the Tet market had not yet opened, the facility started welcoming customers. To date, it has served thousands of visitors, with a larger number of products sold than in previous years.
In addition to shopping activities, the City Labor Federation also organizes many side activities such as singing and dancing performances to celebrate Spring (karaoke singing contest "singing well will sing well", art festival "Spring Dance"), folk games ( tug-of-war, sack dancing). In particular, the traditional ao dai performance contest "Youthful Spring Style"; calligraphy writing, wrapping banh chung, banh tet also promises to attract the attention of a large number of union members, spreading traditional cultural values during the traditional Tet holiday. Within the framework of the program, the City Labor Federation awarded Tet gifts, shopping vouchers, health screening, free eye exams to about 1,000 workers in difficult circumstances.
