Renovating unused headquarters into a place to live for officers transferred to work
Right more than two months before the merger of Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai provinces (with the new name of Dong Nai province), the leaders of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee have directed departments, branches and localities to review the headquarters fund and public housing to proactively prepare workplaces and accommodation for about 1,400 cadres, civil servants and public employees of Binh Phuoc province to transfer to the new Administrative Center.
According to the Department of Finance of Dong Nai province, the whole province is currently managing 467 headquarters of provincial agencies and public service units. Among these, many headquarters in use that have not reached full capacity or are no longer suitable will be converted into workplaces and public housing. The province also plans to take advantage of unused dormitories, public land or headquarters to temporarily arrange in the transition period.
In addition, Dong Nai province is implementing three social housing projects in Bien Hoa city, with a scale of about 3,400-3,500 apartments, capable of meeting most of the housing needs of officials transferred from Binh Phuoc.
Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc affirmed that the province is committed to not allowing the situation of cadres subject to mobilization without housing or workplaces. Along with that, financial support policies are also being prepared.
At the upcoming People's Council meeting on June 25, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province will submit a resolution on supporting more than 45 billion VND for nearly 1,400 cadres, for a period of 6 months (from July 1 to December 31, 2025).
Proposal to increase the level of rental support for cadres and civil servants subject to mobilization
In the Central Highlands and the South Central Coast, Binh Thuan province also has many cadres and civil servants subject to mobilization to work in Lam Dong.Before the draft resolution of Lam Dong Provincial Department of Finance proposing to support renting a house at the rate of 2 million VND/person/month for 3 months, the leaders of Binh Thuan Provincial Department of Finance issued a document giving comments.
According to Mr. Phan The Hanh - Director of the Department of Finance of Binh Thuan province, the support level should be adjusted to 3 million VND/person/month, equivalent to the current policy in Gia Lai and Khanh Hoa.
The draft resolution also proposes to support 10 million VND/person at one time for more than 2,100 cadres and civil servants and support travel costs of 1.6 million VND/person for 24 months for 648 people subject to travel - all of which are highly supported by Binh Thuan.
According to Deputy Director of the Department of Health of Binh Duong province Huynh Minh Chinh, Ho Chi Minh City has received registration for public housing needs at three different levels to support staff mobilization.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction is proposing to convert part of the resettlement housing to official housing.
