Many contributions to caring for and protecting union members and workers
Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Long Thanh Golf Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company Lai The Dong said that he himself always cares about taking care of the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
Mr. Dong and the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union directly advised and negotiated with the business leadership to sign collective labor agreements with clauses that are beneficial to employees compared to the law; proposed to increase the level of price slippage support into the basic salary (an increase of 10%) and increase the value of meals to ensure nutrition from 25,000 VND to 30,000 VND for employees.
Mr. Dong also proposed installing factory cooling systems, supplementing high-class labor protection equipment for specialized departments to improve working conditions for workers; directly solve the income problem, helping to stabilize the economic life for more than 800 union members and workers; propose and definitively resolve the "Quality Lunch" and "Gasoline and Housing Support" regimes for workers in difficult circumstances.
According to Mr. Dong, thanks to improving working conditions, it helps reduce the rate of occupational diseases and labor accidents, create peace of mind and increase labor productivity by 40% in 2024-2025; contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations, preventing complaints or collective work stoppages at units.
Actively participate in social and charitable activities
In addition, Mr. Dong also has initiatives and new ways of doing things in Trade Union activities such as: organizing the "Digital Dialogue Program and Flexible Social Security Package for Union Members" to help increase the rate of interaction and contribution of opinions from union members to 45%, helping the trade union grasp early arising conflicts to resolve them promptly, without allowing hot spots to occur. The initiative was highly appreciated by the Board of Directors for its creativity and management efficiency, and additional 15% welfare budget support for the Trade Union to widely deploy to all officials and employees.
Mr. Dong also has the initiative "Digital Learning Corner - Spreading Ho Chi Minh's ideology on practicing thrift" which helps reduce office supplies and electricity costs at the unit by 12% compared to the same period.
In addition, Mr. Dong also actively participates and mobilizes to participate in social and charitable activities, initiating the model "Volunteer Saturday" or "0-dong booth" to donate necessities, clothes, and books to disadvantaged areas; establishing "Tuong Than Tuong Ai Fund" at the grassroots level, mobilizing union members to deduct a small portion of income or daily salary on a voluntary basis to support colleagues in distress; mobilizing more than 95% of union members and workers at the unit to participate in funds such as: Fund for the Poor, Gratitude Fund, Agent Orange Victim Support Fund...
In the period 2023-2025, he also successfully coordinated to organize at least 22 practical charity trips, supporting 2,500 gifts for poor children or policy families in the area.
With the results achieved, Mr. Lai The Dong is one of 88 individuals commended by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for their outstanding achievements in "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style" in the period 2023 - 2025.
