Ensuring rights and comprehensive care for union members
During the 2023-2028 term, the Trade Union of Lefaso Tra Vinh Investment and Production Trade Union has achieved many impressive results, focusing on the function of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. The company has a total of 3,056 employees, of which 2,170 are Khmer. Regarding the policy regime, the union has coordinated with the Board of Directors to consider raising salaries for 2,394 eligible union members and workers. In particular, the Trade Union has consulted and supervised enterprises to promptly resolve 2,001 cases of sick leave, maternity benefits, and allowances with a total amount of nearly 8 billion VND (as of September 30). The work of caring for the Lunar New Year has been effectively implemented, with a total of Tet salary for 100% of employees spending nearly 46 billion VND, along with more than 3 billion VND as Tet gifts from the Union for 100% of union members.
The trade union also focuses on improving working conditions, ensuring a clean and airy working environment, helping to prevent serious work accidents during the term. Health care is maintained with 100% of workers organized for periodic health check-ups and occupational diseases. In addition, other social welfare activities have also been promoted such as awarding 02 Union Shelters with a total amount of 100 million VND, organizing many meaningful programs (Tet Nguyen Dan, International Day of Vietnamese Women, Workers' Month) with a total gift worth over 1 billion VND, awarding scholarships to union members' children to study well with a budget of over 1.4 billion VND. Thanks to close work, throughout the term, labor relations have always been harmonious, without disputes, strikes or strikes.
Developing organization, improving quality of life
Mr. Cao Huu Trong Bac - Chairman of the Trade Union of Tra Vinh Investment and Investment Company Lefaso - said that in the 2025-2030 term, the company's grassroots trade union aims to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation in the direction of union members - workers, while developing a strong organization, achieving 100% of workers as union members, introducing 8-10 outstanding union members to the Party every year (of which at least 50% are Khmer people) and admitting at least 4 union members to the Party, while improving the quality of life, supervising the salary, bonus and insurance regime. Coordinate with the Board of Directors to ensure stable jobs and income, preventing serious work accidents; at the same time, promote propaganda, disseminate policies and laws and launch emulation movements such as Good workers, Creative workers, Work safety and hygiene, the movement Good at public work, good at housework, contributing to building a safe, united and sustainable working environment - Mr. Bac added.
Mr. Le Duy Khuong - Party Cell Secretary, General Director of Lefaso Tra Vinh Investment and Investment Company - said that in the past term, trade union activities still had some limitations such as propaganda and ideological education not being diverse due to the characteristics of production by line; some union officials were not fully promoted, a number of union members were not fully aware of the role of trade unions... According to Mr. Khuong, in the coming time, grassroots trade unions need to continue to innovate their methods of operation, improve the capacity of cadres, focus on caring for and protecting the rights of workers to create consensus and solidarity in the unit.
