An initiative each year
After 10 years of working at Nghi Phong Joint Venture Company Limited (Nghi Phong Company), Ms. Huynh Thi Hoang Ve has been commended by the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Labor Federation (PFF) for her achievements with many initiatives that benefit businesses and workers - Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones (IPs) of Dong Thap province proudly shared about the achievements of workers in Tran Quoc Toan Industrial Park (Cao Lanh City).

Since her first year working at Nghi Phong Company at the age of 23 (2015) to date, Ms. Hoang Ve has had 10 initiatives. Not only contributing to the benefit of billions of VND for businesses, but also improving the landscape and working environment, bringing convenience to employees. In the role of Vice President of the grassroots Trade Union (CDCS), Ms. Ve and the Executive Board of the Trade Union advised and proposed that the leaders of enterprises take more care and be more beneficial than the law for employees, especially female employees who are raising children under 12 months old and can return home 1 hour early to work, supporting 50,000 VND/month/ employee with a child under 6 years old...
Ms. Ve also has 5 initiatives to improve the working environment. Notably, these initiatives are designed to take advantage of local by-products and waste, thereby contributing to the profit of 1.3 billion VND for the enterprise. Notably, the initiative to take advantage of plastic bags containing materials at the workshop to create 200 air intakes at the fan suction locations, helping to regulate the amount of wind in the entire workshop space.

According to Ms. Ve, when there is no branch, the wind from outside with a suction fan pushes directly to the workers. This also affects the health and work schedule of workers near the suction machine due to wind- drifting items. Meanwhile, people in the area are as far away from the suction machine as possible and receive less wind... When the air conditioning barrier is installed, the wind is distributed evenly throughout the factory.
Similarly, Ms. Ve takes advantage of the surplus materials used to make electrical outlets at the production location instead of the design placed below the factory floor, both increasing aesthetics and safety for workers. Or the initiative to use plastic pipes used in water pipes to make surplus material collection Manges under each sewing table instead of using plastic wrap. Therefore, employees only need to use their hands to back up and all the waste is dumped into the collection department compared to before when they had to use their hands to pick up small pieces.
Creative motivation
Due to difficult family circumstances, while studying in grade 10, Hoang Ve (born in 1992) had to leave his hometown of Dong Thap to work as a garment worker in Ho Chi Minh City. In the luggage from abroad, there are only many moral lessons for the family. Therefore, whenever she discovers that her workplace friend needs something, she is willing to help. These gestures quickly made Ms. Ve a union official. And this also opened a turning point in his life.
From spontaneous workplaces with the simple thought of helping employees reduce difficulties, Ms. Ve has gradually moved towards more methodical work, creating a wider spread. Through training courses, learning Trade Union skills, management... Ms. Ve has more knowledge about occupational safety and hygiene, taking care of the rights and interests of workers... This is the foundation for her to have more confidence and ways to increase creativity, giving birth to good ideas and practical initiatives when returning to work in her hometown of Dong Thap.
Ms. Hoang Ves initiatives all ensure the criteria of for a green - clean - beautiful environment, not only bringing practical value to businesses and employees... but also contributing to beautifying the beautiful image of Trade Union officials and affirming the irreplaceable position of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new context, Mr. Nhan emphasized.
