The Trade Union of Alliance One Garment Company Limited has just held the 5th Trade Union Congress, term 20252030, with the participation of Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Dung - Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation, Ms. Posree Pinnara - Company's Human Resources Director and 160 delegates, representing 7,600 union members.
During the 2023-2028 term, the grassroots trade union has closely coordinated with the Board of Directors to fully implement policies and regimes, ensuring the legitimate and legal rights of workers.
The trade union actively participates in developing regulations and collective labor agreements, organizing workers' conferences on time and taking care of the material and spiritual lives of workers.
During this time, the union has developed more than 1,000 new union members, and organized many emulation movements, contributing to building a united and close collective.
The 5th term Congress set out directions and goals for the 2025-2030 term: developing 1,000 more union members; introducing 5 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission; striving for 95% of union members and workers to participate in propaganda activities and emulation movements; preventing occupational accidents and diseases; promoting the improvement of educational qualifications and professional skills for workers.
In her speech, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Dung praised the outstanding results that the grassroots trade union has achieved in the past term.
She suggested that the Executive Board of the new term continue to innovate the content and methods of operation; improve the effectiveness of representing, caring for, and protecting the rights of union members; at the same time, promote the spirit of competitive creative labor and build a team of qualified and skilled workers to meet the requirements of business development.
The Congress elected the 5th Executive Committee consisting of 15 comrades, elected the Inspection Committee and the delegation to attend the Congress of the Upper Trade Union. 100% of delegates voted to approve the Congress Resolution.
The Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term held its first meeting to elect the Standing Committee, the positions of Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Inspection Committee, in which Mr. Pham Van Minh was re-elected as Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union.
On this occasion, the grassroots union awarded certificates of merit to 33 individuals who achieved the achievement of "Excellent completion of emulation movements and union activities for the 2023-2028 term", recognizing the outstanding contributions of union members in the union movement.
