Building a happy "common home" and spreading human values
With the attention, leadership and facilitation of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of BIDV, in the period of 2023-2025, the collective of more than 29,000 union members and workers in the system have made great efforts to overcome all difficulties and challenges, comprehensively and excellently completing 12/12 targets identified in the Resolution of the 6th BIDV Trade Union Congress related to performing professional tasks, caring for workers' lives; performing the tasks of the Trade Union organization; participating in Party building.
During the past term, BIDV Trade Union has closely coordinated with professional leaders at all levels to ensure that 100% of employees are able to sign contracts; participate fully in social insurance and health insurance regimes; and receive training and fostering to improve their qualifications in a civilized and professional working environment.
Many activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of union members and employees of BIDV have also been effectively implemented and spread strongly, contributing to creating a humane and happy working environment: From the "Union Meal" program to vacation activities, birthday wishes; from organizing periodic health check-ups for employees to encouraging and caring for staff relatives...
Cultural, artistic and sports movements continue to be promoted for development, improving the health and spiritual life of BIDV staff. Internal social security work has received special attention from the Trade Union, demonstrated through activities to visit and support workers and their relatives, which have been implemented promptly with a total budget of more than 134 billion VND.
In addition to taking care of workers in the system, BIDV Trade Union has also affirmed its role as an organization always responsible to the social community. BIDV Trade Union has implemented many direct social security activities to support localities and those in difficult circumstances. In the period of 2023 - 2025, from the Trade Union Social Fund and mobilizing contributions from union members - workers, BIDV Trade Union has allocated more than 127 billion VND (an increase of more than 31 billion VND compared to the 2018 - 2023) to implement meaningful and typical community activities such as: Building gratitude houses; eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses; supporting schools and health stations; accompanying seas, islands and border women; building bridges for people; installing solar power poles; planting trees; equipping water tanks and supporting the recovery of natural disasters...
Creating motivation to promote business development
From the responsible and dedicated support of the Trade Union organization, the internal strength of the BIDV labor union members has been promoted and become a strong driving force to promote the sustainable development of BIDV. Practical emulation movements such as "Good workers - Creative workers", "Bank staff practice virtue, practice vocational skills, practice office culture", "Building and practicing a culture of learning - creativity" ... have been effectively implemented and contributed increasingly positively to BIDV's business results.
By the end of November 2025, BIDV had total assets of more than 3.2 million billion VND, an increase of nearly 54% over the beginning of the term, maintaining its position as the commercial bank with the largest scale of operations in Vietnam; mobilized capital reached more than 2.3 million billion VND; outstanding credit reached nearly 2.3 million billion VND; consolidated pre-tax profit reached more than 29,000 billion VND... BIDV also leads the green credit market with outstanding more than 81,200 billion VND. BIDV's customer base continues to expand with 22 million individual customers, nearly 500,000 corporate customers and more than 2,300 financial institutions worldwide...
Aspiration to reach the new term
Entering the 2025-2030 term, BIDV Trade Union aims to build a strong, professional and creative Trade Union organization; effectively promote the role of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
In the coming term, BIDV Trade Union will focus on developing a team of cadres according to the "4T" standard: "In intellectual - Responsible - Dedicated - Pioneering"; actively innovate methods of operation, enhance dialogue, improve training quality, promote emulation movements associated with BIDV's strategic goals.
Inheriting the glorious tradition and great achievements of previous terms, with the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", believing that BIDV Trade Union will create many new breakthroughs, continue to be a solid support, a happy home for workers; at the same time, trade union activities will always be a strong endogenous driving force, promoting BIDV to soon become a Big - Strong - Green bank in the era of national growth.
