In the first quarter of 2025, the work of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers (Union members, Laborers) will be focused on.
The City Labor Federation has implemented the "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" program with outstanding activities such as "Union Tet Market 2025"; Ao Ba fashion show; " Singing Contest for Civil Servants, Public Employees, Workers"; Tet cake wrapping contest and giving 1,000 banh tet to workers in difficult circumstances...
Through activities to care for the Lunar New Year in 2025, trade unions at all levels have presented 102,691 gifts with a total amount of over 37 billion VND to union members and employees in difficult circumstances.
The City's trade unions at all levels mobilized to contribute 189 million VND to the Can Tho Trade Union Golden Heart Fund. The Management Board of the Golden Heart Fund has organized the handover of 15 Trade Union Shelters with an amount of 750 million VND; supported the construction of 2 new Trade Union Shelters with an amount of 100 million VND; considered supporting 2 cases of serious illnesses with an amount of 4 million VND.
The Fund also coordinated with the Dien Bien Provincial Federation of Labor to present 2 Union Shelters to union members in difficult circumstances in Dien Bien province, worth 100 million VND. At the same time, 20 scholarships were awarded to children of union members and employees of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor with difficult circumstances to study well with an amount of 10 million VND.
Trade unions at all levels visited and presented gifts to 282 union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLD) who were hospitalized and had families in difficult circumstances with an amount of 99.2 million VND.
The City Labor Federation launched emulation movements, focusing on the movement "Good workers, Creative workers". The movements took place enthusiastically, attracting a large number of employees to participate and implement. As a result, trade unions at all levels registered to implement 3,155 topics, initiatives, and experiences; 161 emulation works and products.
In the first quarter of 2025, the City Trade Union established 2 grassroots unions with 88 union members, bringing the total number of union members developed in the quarter to 2,473. The City Trade Union transferred 1 grassroots trade union with 168 union members to Ho Chi Minh City; introduced 289 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission.
Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation Huynh Thi Hien emphasized a number of key tasks in the second quarter of 2025.
