Can Tho Trade Union organizes over 200 meetings and online activities

MỸ LY |

Not only stopping at online meetings, grassroots trade unions (CDCS) in Can Tho City are turning technology into "extended arms" to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers (DV, NLD).

Overcoming difficulties thanks to digitization

At the Trade Union of Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company - a unit with nearly 2,800 union members, with a network stretching across the country, technology has become the solution to the management problem.

With more than 60 Trade Union groups in branches, factories... maintaining continuous information was once a challenge. However, through the social network group system, email and online meetings, geographical distance was almost erased. All opinions from remote branches were promptly received by the Executive Committee (EPC).

Mr. Vo Thanh Hung - Chairman of the company's grassroots trade union - shared that in the new term, the unit will not only stop at exchanging information but also "upgrade" the professionalization apparatus. From concurrently holding positions, now, the Executive Committee will be divided into committees/departments with separate plans right from the beginning of the year. This aims to improve the quality of work, save time and effort, and especially to show the proactive role of each Executive Committee member.

Digital transformation is a breakthrough

The Can Tho City Labor Federation said that in the period 2023 - 2025, the city's Trade Union levels have promoted the application of digital technology and diversified communication forms, in order to promptly convey the Party's guidelines and Resolutions, and the State's policies and laws to the grassroots level.

The program "Promoting Vietnam Trade Union Communications, period 2023 - 2028", is being widely implemented. The application of document management software and digital signatures has fundamentally replaced traditional administrative forms, creating transparency, science and modernity in work processing. Through this, union members can easily update information, register to participate in activities, monitor their rights and receive timely online support.

The entire city's Trade Union system has organized over 200 meetings, conferences, and online activities with the participation of tens of thousands of Trade Union officials at all levels, helping to significantly save travel costs, time and improve the effectiveness of direction and administration.

Stepping into the 2025-2030 term, the Can Tho City Trade Union identified 1 of 3 breakthroughs as comprehensive digital transformation in operations, focusing on propaganda, gathering, caring for, and serving union members and workers. On that basis, the solution proposed is to strongly innovate the content and methods of propaganda in a proactive, diverse, and applied digital platform direction; ensuring practicality, timeliness, and efficiency...
