On the afternoon of January 10, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City organized a conference to summarize the work of the Front in 2025 and socio-political organizations in 2025 to deploy work in 2026.
According to the report, in 2025, the Fatherland Front at all levels of the city and member organizations focused on effectively implementing the Program on unified coordination of actions, achieving 12/12 set targets.
In social security work, the Fatherland Front at all levels mobilized and awarded 135,966 Tet gifts, 309,000 kg of rice, with a total value of more than 83 billion VND; awarded 169 houses of great solidarity to poor and near-poor households during Tet.
Responding to the movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", the whole city has completed the construction and repair of 11,462 houses, with a total cost of more than 651 billion VND and more than 2,500 working days.

Responding to the Call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City launched contributions to support people to overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 10. As of December 24, 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee has received over 36.62 billion VND from agencies, units, organizations, and individuals contributing and supporting.
Patriotic emulation campaigns and movements continue to spread widely. The movement "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized cities" has been effectively implemented with 315 model points; the city currently has 59/72 communes meeting new rural standards; maintaining with 643 self-management models promoting efficiency in many fields.

Speaking to direct at the Conference, Mr. Dong Van Thanh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Can Tho City praised the achievements of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels and socio-political organizations of the City.
He proposed that the Front continue to promote propaganda and mobilize people to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; Resolutions of the City Party Congress for the term 2025 - 2030; strategic resolutions of the Central Government; spread the atmosphere of the 14th Party Congress and propagate the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, People's Councils at all levels for the term 2026 - 2031.
Mr. Thanh emphasized the need to strengthen coordination with member organizations to effectively implement the 2026 Coordination and Unified Action Program; organize election work well; promote supervision and social criticism; regularly stick to the grassroots level, promptly gather and reflect people's opinions and recommendations.
He proposed that the Front focus on innovating the content and methods of operation; consolidating the streamlined and effective organizational structure; building a team of cadres with bravery and responsibility; promoting digital transformation. Continue to effectively coordinate the implementation of emulation campaigns and movements, taking care of social security, especially during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026; strengthen solidarity among ethnic minorities and religions, mobilize social resources to serve socio-economic development of the city.

At the conference, delegates consulted to supplement and replace the Member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, term I, term 2025 - 2030 for Mr. Pham Van Buoc - Chairman of the Veterans Association of Can Tho City; Mr. Ta Dinh Nghia - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Association of Can Tho City; Ms. Trieu Thi Ngoc Diem - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Khanh Hoa Ward and Mr. Phan Lung Pha - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of My Quoi Ward.
The conference also consulted and elected Mr. Pham Van Buoc and Ms. Trieu Thi Ngoc Diem as Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, term I, term 2025 - 2030.
