On February 9, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized a Conference to announce the decision to establish the grassroots trade union (CĐCS) of Hung Phat Garment Co., Ltd., marking a new step in the development of trade union organization building in non-state enterprises.
The grassroots trade union of Hung Phat Garment Co., Ltd. was established with 27 trade union members who are workers working at the enterprise, showing the consensus and trust of workers in the Vietnam Trade Union organization.
At the conference, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee of Hung Phat Garment Co., Ltd. for the first term, consisting of 3 members, ensuring compliance with the regulations of the Vietnam Trade Union Charter.
According to the decision, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the grassroots trade union; Mr. Doan Trung Quan held the position of Vice Chairman, and was also in charge of inspection and supervision of the grassroots trade union.
The establishment and consolidation of the Executive Committee for the first term is expected to create an important foundation for the grassroots trade union to soon stabilize its organization and effectively implement activities to care for, represent, and protect the rights of union members.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Phan Thi Truc Ly - Director of Hung Phat Garment Co., Ltd. - said that the Company's Board of Directors always supports the establishment of a Trade Union organization and is committed to creating favorable conditions for grassroots trade unions to operate in accordance with their functions.
According to Ms. Phan Thi Truc Ly, the grassroots trade union will be an important bridge between workers and businesses, contributing to building a stable and harmonious working environment, helping workers feel secure and stick with the company for a long time.
Speaking to direct, Ms. Le Thi Kim Chi - Standing Vice President of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - congratulated the grassroots trade union of Hung Phat Garment Co., Ltd. on being officially established and launching the Executive Committee for the first term.
Ms. Le Thi Kim Chi requested the grassroots trade union to soon develop regulations and operating programs suitable to the specific characteristics of the enterprise, focusing on taking care of the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers in accordance with legal regulations.
At the same time, the Standing Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation emphasized that grassroots trade unions need to go hand in hand with businesses, coordinate to build harmonious, stable, progressive labor relations towards sustainable development.
