On December 10, the Hue City Labor Federation announced that the Hue University Trade Union will organize the 7th Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term - an important political event for more than 3,500 union members, civil servants and workers. This is an opportunity to evaluate the results of activities in the past term, determining a new direction in the context of the university system in the Central region aiming to strongly develop training, research and international integration quality.
The Hue University Trade Union currently has 16 grassroots trade unions with 3,533 union members; a workforce of 3,570 people, of which the teaching staff is the core with 1,888 people. With 834 PhDs, 1,542 masters, 17 professors and 209 associate professors, Hue University is one of the centers with a strong academic team in the country. This is also an educational institution with a high quality accreditation rate, when 7/8 member schools have completed the second cycle of accreditation and met educational quality standards.
In recent years, the Hue University Trade Union has always accompanied the professional in fully and promptly implementing regimes and policies; proactively recommending mechanisms to ensure jobs, income, and spiritual life for civil servants and workers. Grassroots trade unions actively monitor the implementation of plans, promptly reflect shortcomings and propose appropriate solutions, aiming at the legitimate rights of union members.
At the same time, emulation movements in the education sector have been implemented enthusiastically and substantially. The movements "Good workers, creative workers", "Innovation, creativity, efficiency in trade union activities", "Good at public affairs, good at home affairs", or the movement "Good teaching - good learning" with a focus on innovating teaching methods and testing and evaluation... continue to be promoted. Many teachers have become exemplary examples of professional ethics, self-study and creativity.
With a large foundation of union members, high professional qualifications and a system of educational institutions that have been quality-assessed, the 7th Congress of the Hue University Trade Union is expected to create a new turning point, promoting the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the rights of civil servants and employees; at the same time contributing to building Hue University into a prestigious training and research center in the region and the whole country.
