On December 10, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) said that the Trade Union of Rollsport Vietnam Shoes Co., Ltd. coordinated with the business leaders to visit and support union members and workers affected by recent storms and floods.
The working group led by Mr. Nguyen Van Ty - Chairman of the Company's Trade Union and members of the Executive Committee directly visited each family to grasp the damage situation and provide support. Each case received 2 million VND in cash and a bag of gifts of necessities. A total of 25 workers were supported with more than 50 million VND from the Company's and the grassroots Trade Union's funding sources.
According to the Company's Trade Union, many families of workers working at Rollsport had their houses flooded and their property damaged after the storm, so they needed timely support. Coming to the location to visit is to ensure that workers receive direct encouragement, while also recording the actual situation.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ty said that although the gifts are not large, they show the sharing of the business community with workers, especially during the difficult period due to natural disasters. The union will continue to monitor affected cases to have appropriate support directions.
This activity is also considered a step to clearly demonstrate the role of the grassroots trade union in caring for the lives of union members, while also demonstrating the coordination between the trade union and the enterprise in ensuring the welfare and stabilizing the lives of workers at Rollsport Vietnam Shoes Company Limited.
