According to the political report at the conference, the new Tan Dong Hiep ward was established on the basis of merging the entire Tan Binh ward, part of Tan Dong Hiep ward (Di An city), part of Thai Hoa ward (formerly Tan Uyen city). The ward has a total area of 21.47 km2, with a population of about 100,243 people.
This is a locality with a high population density, many enterprises, and interspersed residential areas, with a rate of imported workers accounting for over 60% of the population. In the ward, there is Tan Dong Hiep B industrial park with 45 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) along with 7,674 union members.
The ward also has 65 grassroots unions outside the industrial park with 16,865 union members. This is a young, dynamic workforce, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of the ward and Ho Chi Minh City.
Currently, the basic income of workers is stable, the average salary reaches and exceeds the regional minimum regulations, and policies are fully implemented. Ward unions and grassroots unions regularly coordinate to care for and support union members in difficulty.
In general, the lives of workers have been increasingly improved, labor relations have been harmonious, stable and progressive, demonstrating the active role of the trade union organization in accompanying businesses and better caring for union members and workers.
For the 2025-2030 term, the Tan Dong Hiep Ward Trade Union focuses on caring for, representing and comprehensively protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. Continuously improving the material and spiritual life, professional skills and political awareness of union members and workers in the area.
Strengthen the development of organizations and union members, strive to mobilize the establishment of grassroots unions in 100% of enterprises with 10 or more employees. At least 1 grassroots union is established each year in areas with a large number of freelance workers. Strive to admit at least 500 new union members during the term, contributing to expanding the force, strengthening the increasingly strong union organization...
On this occasion, the conference announced the personnel decision of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Inspection Committee of the Tan Dong Hiep Ward Trade Union, term I, 2025 - 2030. In which, Mr. Le Nguyen Minh Sang is the Chairman; Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien is the Vice Chairman of the Tan Dong Hiep Ward Trade Union.
