Efforts to develop trade union organizations
Responding to Workers' Month 2025 with the theme "Vietnamese workers pioneering in entering a new era", the Dak Lak Provincial Federation of Labor has coordinated with trade unions at all levels to implement many practical activities, spreading widely.
Since March 2025, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has issued 6 thematic plans and directive documents, organizing the dissemination of knowledge to 100% of trade unions at the grassroots level.
The launching ceremony of Workers' Month was held on June 6 at Tan An Industrial Cluster (Buon Ma Thuot City), attracting more than 300 workers and leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches to attend.
During May, the whole province held more than 300 activities with more than 85,000 union members and workers participating. Notable is the "Thank You to Workers" program, giving 1,592 gifts worth nearly 998 million VND and supporting the construction and repair of 37 "Union Shelters" with a total cost of 1.75 billion VND.
In districts and cities, activities take place in a variety of ways. For example, the Buon Ma Thuot City Labor Federation presented gifts to 100 workers with a total value of 100 million VND.
The Krong Buk District Labor Federation presented 180 gifts (500,000 VND/gift) and rewarded 4 typical enterprises.
At the same time, activities to propagate the law, study Ho Chi Minh's ideology, contribute documents to Party Congresses at all levels... attracted nearly 85,000 participants. Dialogue at the workplace has also received attention.
During Workers' Month, the whole province admitted 114 new union members, established 1 grassroots union and introduced 120 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and admission.
This result shows the efforts to develop the Trade Union organization, especially in the non-state and informal sectors.
Clear evidence of the role of trade unions
Workers' Month 2025 was successfully organized throughout Dak Lak province, a clear demonstration of the role of trade unions in the new period.
Trade unions at all levels have proactively coordinated closely with Party committees, authorities and enterprises to organize practical activities, associated with the needs and rights of workers.
With the motto "Towards the grassroots - For workers", the Provincial Federation of Labor has truly promoted its role as a bridge between workers and the Party, the State and enterprises.
However, the series of activities still has some limitations, such as the incomplete awareness of some localities and enterprises about the role and significance of Workers' Month. These will be the contents that need to be learned from to be implemented more effectively in the following years.
