Over the past time, the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation has had many flexible and creative activities in signing cooperation agreements with many businesses and units participating in the Union Member Welfare program, providing services with preferential prices for union members.
2 units have proactively signed with 368 turns of businesses and units. Through these agreements, union members and workers enjoy many incentives such as discounts from 5 - 40% compared to market prices for medical examination and treatment services, oral care, shopping for consumer goods, tours, or installment programs, financial support. Thereby, helping about 1 million turns of union members and workers save more than 40 billion VND.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation - shared: "Not only strengthening cooperation agreements, we also focus on essential areas such as healthcare, tourism, shopping, education and consumption". Expanding cooperation and signing agreements with Phuong Chau Sa Dec Hospital, Saigon Tam Duc Dental Hospital, World Travel Joint Stock Company, Khai Minh Group Joint Stock Company... not only helps improve immediate welfare but also aims to build a sustainable "trade union ecosystem", where union members have access to quality services at reasonable costs.
Long-term linkage, creating sustainable value
The scale and practical depth of the UM welfare program are increasingly developing in the direction of benefits - practicality and widespread spread. Previously, care activities were mainly direct and short-term support, but now they have shifted to a long-term linkage model (signed for 2-3 years) with businesses, creating more sustainable value.
The number of partners participating in the "Union Member Welfare" program is increasing steadily year by year, and the level of incentives is increasing in the direction of bringing diverse benefits, more and more suitable to the actual needs of the majority of union members and workers" - Mr. Tuan emphasized.
Cooperation programs not only bring benefits to union members but also create conditions for businesses to expand markets and build a social responsibility image. Through trade unions, businesses can directly access the labor force... thereby developing appropriate products and services. Conversely, trade unions play a "bridge" role, increasing and ensuring the rights of union members...
According to Mr. Tuan, in the coming time, the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation determines to continue to expand the network of partners, prioritizing essential fields and digital service transformation. The Trade Union organization will strengthen the supervision of service quality of partners, ensuring that preferential commitments are implemented correctly and fully, avoiding formalism. The application of technology is also promoted, aiming to build a digital platform to manage union member welfare, helping workers easily look up and use preferential services.
It can be seen that, from specific and practical steps, Dong Thap Trade Union is gradually affirming its role in accompanying workers, not only in protecting rights but also improving the quality of life. The cooperation model with businesses for union member welfare is expected to continue to spread, becoming a bright spot in the Trade Union activities of Dat Sen Hong in particular, and the Mekong Delta in general.
