The Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor (DOLF) said that in the period of 2023 - 2025, trade unions at all levels have widely implemented patriotic emulation movements, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere among union members and workers; thereby contributing significantly to promoting socio-economic development and affirming the role and position of the trade union organization in the new situation.
Determining emulation as the driving force for completing political and professional tasks, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor has directed all levels of the Trade Union to effectively implement the movement "Good workers, creative workers" associated with promoting initiatives and technical improvements; implementing administrative reform; movements "Innovation, creativity, efficiency in Trade Union activities", "Cadres, civil servants, and public employees compete to practice office culture", the campaign "Cadres, civil servants, and public employees say no to negativity", "Good advice - Good service".
Practicing thrift and preventing waste associated with "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style"; the "Green - Clean - Beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene" movement, "Good at public work, good at home work", building new rural areas, civilized urban areas...
The movements are implemented closely in practice by each agency, unit, and enterprise, thereby arousing the sense of responsibility, initiative, and creativity of union members and workers.
Through emulation movements in the period of 2023 - 2025, union members and workers in the province have completed 263 projects ahead of schedule, making a profit of over 35 billion VND; nearly 30,000 scientific topics, initiatives, and technical innovation solutions have been recognized at the grassroots level; 367 topics have won the Provincial Technical Innovation Competition.
Many initiatives have been effectively applied in production - business, administrative reform, education, health care and new rural construction, contributing to cost savings, improving labor productivity and quality service for the people.
The reward work has been promptly implemented by the Trade Unions at all levels. In the period of 2023 - 2025, 250 collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; 63 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit for Creative Labor; 1 individual won the Nguyen Van Linh Award; 5 individuals won the Nguyen Duc Canh Award; 1,323 collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial Labor Federation; 17 individuals won the 28/7 Award of the Provincial Labor Federation.
At the same time, union members and workers in Dong Thap also actively responded to major movements such as: "The whole country joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind", "The whole country competes to build a learning society, promote lifelong learning", "Dong Thap joins hands to build new rural areas, advanced new rural areas", "Skilled mass mobilization - Mass mobilization of government"...
Through patriotic emulation movements, trade union organizations at all levels have clearly demonstrated their core, pioneering, and responsible role, contributing to affirming the position and important contributions of union members and workers to the socio-economic development of Dong Thap province.
With outstanding results, in the period of 2023 - 2025, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor was honored to receive the First Class Independence Medal from the President; the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded 2 Certificates of Merit; the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee awarded 4 Certificates of Merit.
