Timely grasp the thoughts of workers after the merger
On September 25, the Hanoi City Labor Federation organized the announcement of the Decision to establish 34 grassroots unions with 2,126 union members. Attending the ceremony was Mr. Tong Van Bang - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Receiving the Decision to establish the grassroots trade union, Ms. Cung Thi Quynh Hoa - Deputy Head of the Station, Chairwoman of the Vinh Tuy Ward Health Station Trade Union respectfully thanked the City Labor Federation for its guidance, support and facilitation. After rearranging the health stations (formerly separated from district and county health centers) according to the administrative boundaries of the two-level government, Vinh Tuy Health Station was separated from the former Hai Ba Trung District Health Center. The structure of local government at 2 levels to overcome the overlapping situation, however, this process cannot avoid affecting the ideology of the team of cadres and civil servants. Therefore, when the Health Station Trade Union is established in a timely manner, it will help to promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members.
According to Ms. Quynh Hoa, the main goal of establishing a grassroots trade union is to ensure legitimate rights and transparency; limit disadvantages for workers, especially in the context of comprehensive reform, many people are concerned about income, position and career future when merging. Through activities such as dialogue, activities, visits, the Station's Trade Union will help union members and workers feel secure in their work, unite, create a safe and stable internal atmosphere...
Ms. Cung Thi Quynh Hoa's sharing is also the thought of the grassroots union officials. In the coming time, after being established and stabilizing the organizational structure, the grassroots trade unions will actively coordinate with the government to promptly resolve the legitimate aspirations of union members; propose and effectively organize emulation movements to help workers enthusiastically improve work efficiency, while taking care of the material and spiritual life of union members. What the grassroots trade unions hope to do is always receive the attention, direction and support of the City Labor Federation in its activities.
City Labor Federation officials work regardless of hours
Speaking to representatives of grassroots trade unions that received the Decision to establish, Mr. Tong Van Bang highly appreciated the coordination to establish grassroots trade unions at the unit. The established grassroots trade unions demonstrate concern to ensure the legitimate and legal rights of union members and workers, while building stable and sustainable labor relations.
Speaking with representatives of grassroots trade unions receiving the Establishment Decision, Le Dinh Hung - Executive Committee Member of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Permanent Vice President in charge of the Hanoi City Labor Federation - said that in the past, the staff of the Hanoi City Labor Federation have worked regardless of working hours and days off to ensure work progress, especially the work of establishing grassroots trade unions.
After the policy of the Party and the City Party Committee on rearranging the organization, including the Trade Union organization, the old model has changed. Previously, the City Labor Federation directly managed 45 grassroots unions, including 30 districts and 15 industry unions and general companies. Currently, the City Labor Federation is assigned to directly manage over 6,000 grassroots unions with more than 60,000 union members, from facilities with only 5 union members to places with up to 22,000 union members, operating in many diverse types of enterprises such as FDI, private and State.
