On March 23, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thach - Chairman of the Trade Union of Ha Tinh Economic Zones - said that currently, businesses in Vung Ang Economic Zones are in need of recruiting thousands of workers. Of which, the largest recruitment demand is Ha Tinh 10 Garment Enterprise with more than 1,000 workers; Nam Ha Tinh Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company needs to recruit 320 workers; Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Industry Company Limited needs to recruit more than 100 workers...
According to Mr. Thach, with the need to recruit workers of enterprises, the Trade Union of Ha Tinh Economic Zones coordinates with the Trade Unions to actively share recruitment information, welfare regimes, bonuses, etc. of enterprises that are in need of recruitment in Zalo and Facebook groups and post them on the Trade Union's Facebook page.
The Trade Union's increased sharing of recruitment information of enterprises has helped people and workers grasp the information, then spread the information together so that relatives and friends know and participate in recruitment to find jobs. Thereby, helping businesses have better recruitment opportunities, Mr. Thach shared.
Ms. Pham Thi Thu Huong - Chairwoman of the Hong Linh Town Labor Federation - said that Haivina Hong Linh Garment Company is currently in need of recruiting 1,000 workers (with a salary of more than 6.5 million VND/month) to increase the labor scale to 2,000 people. However, the current recruitment results are low. Along with the Party Committee, government, and organizations, the Trade Union in Hong Linh also actively shares information about the labor recruitment needs of enterprises. Thereby, helping many people and workers know to apply," said Ms. Huong.
Salary is not attractive enough
According to Ms. Pham Thi Thu Huong - Chairwoman of the Hong Linh Town Labor Federation, although businesses have a large demand for labor recruitment, especially garment businesses. The Trade Union has actively supported businesses in informing workers and the people. However, recruitment results are still low.
Regarding the reason, according to Ms. Huong, Ha Tinh currently has many garment enterprises participating in recruitment, so there is a dispersation of recruitment workers. The salary in the garment sector is not high, not attractive enough for workers. Workers have many job opportunities such as going abroad to work or working in enterprises in the South.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Thach - Chairman of the Trade Union of Ha Tinh Economic Zones also said that recruiting workers in Vung Ang Economic Zones is currently quite difficult because the salary is not really attractive. Along with that, Vung Ang Economic Zone still lacks trade union institutions such as workers' housing, schools, entertainment areas... so it reduces the attraction for workers. Meanwhile, workers have many job opportunities for better income such as going abroad to work.
From the above reasons, the Chairman of the Trade Union of Economic Zones of Ha Tinh province hopes that the State, all levels and sectors will pay attention to investing in more schools, workers' housing and services in Vung Ang Economic Zones to better meet the needs of workers. Thereby, it will effectively attract businesses to invest as well as attract and retain employees to stay with the business for a long time.
