Union calls for hundreds of millions of VND to support union members with serious illnesses

    HUE - Leaders of the Hue City Labor Federation and the Hue City Education Trade Union presented hundreds of millions of VND to support union members with serious illnesses.

    On May 20, the Hue City Labor Federation said that the Hue City Education Trade Union coordinated with the Huong Thuy High School Trade Union to visit and provide support to union member Vo Thi Bao Y at Hue Central Hospital.

    Ms. Bao Y (born in 1981), a teacher at Huong Thuy High School, has been fighting lung cancer for many years, is currently in poor health, and is economically exhausted. Raising her two young children in grade 10 and grade 8 alone, she depends on relatives' families and still tries to treat and take care of them.

    Faced with difficult circumstances, the Hue City Education Trade Union has called for support from grassroots trade unions, teachers, individuals and groups. The total amount of money mobilized was more than 171 million VND and 500 USD, contributing to helping her continue to treat her disease.

    This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and care for the lives of union members and workers of the Trade Union organization.
