The grassroots trade union of Mega Surplus Shoes Vietnam Co., Ltd. has gone through the 2023-2025 term with many outstanding efforts and achievements, affirming its role as a trusted representative for workers. Up to now, the grassroots trade union has 1,183 union members/1,183 workers, reaching a rate of 100% and exceeding the set target.
Of which, 1,015 female union members actively participate in trade union movements, contributing to creating a stable and harmonious working environment. 100% of employees are signed full labor contracts, participating in social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance. Thanks to that, the grassroots trade union maintains the title of excellent completion of annual tasks and always ranks high in the professional assessments of the Provincial Labor Federation.
Regarding care for life and welfare, the Trade Union coordinates to sign and supervise Collective Labor Agreements with many more beneficial provisions for employees. Workers are supported with a special allowance of 350,000 VND/month, children under 6 years old are supported with 50,000 VND/child/month and lunch is 384,000 VND/month. During the term, the Trade Union visited and directly cared for workers with a total amount of 464,733,134 VND, birthday gifts of 93,195,000 VND, and mobilized a contribution of 25,000,000 VND to support union members in difficult circumstances and suffering from serious illnesses.
The results achieved in the past term have strengthened the role of representing and protecting workers' rights, while improving the quality of labor relations, creating a harmonious, stable and sustainable working environment.
100% of workers become union members
Entering the 2025 - 2030 term, Mega Surplus Trade Union has identified the general goal of innovating the content and methods of operation in the direction of serving union members and workers. In which, 100% of eligible workers will become union members, the Collective Labor Agreement will achieve at least type B with at least 10 provisions more favorable than those prescribed by law, and at least 5 outstanding union members will be introduced to the Party for consideration, fostering and admission. Implement the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development".
The trade union also focuses on improving the qualifications of workers, striving for 80% of workers to participate in vocational skills training and 80% to be disseminated knowledge about information technology and digital technology. Cultural and sports activities are implemented systematically, ensuring the participation of 85% or more union members, while maintaining corporate cultural standards. 100% of union officials are trained and fostered in professional theory and work skills, and all union members' cases are consulted, supported and resolved promptly by the union when required.
The new term orientation focuses on enhancing the role of representing and protecting workers' rights, while developing high-quality human resources, strengthening solidarity and solidarity in enterprises. With this determination, Mega Surplus Trade Union aims for a successful and sustainable term, continuing to exceed the set targets.
