On July 17, the Trade Union of Cao Lanh Ward (Dong Thap province) organized a series of practical activities to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026).
Expanding the network of care for workers
At the program, the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation announced the decision to establish the E-commerce Trade Union, the Lottery Ticket Seller Trade Union of Cao Lanh Ward and the grassroots Trade Union of QME Education Co., Ltd.
The establishment of new trade union organizations continues to expand the network of trade union organizations in the area, especially aiming to gather workers in the informal sector and businesses outside the state sector, contributing to caring for, representing, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, and at the same time creating a foundation for developing union members in the new period.
On this occasion, the Cao Lanh Ward Trade Union coordinated with sponsoring units to present more than 130 social security gifts to union members, workers and students in difficult circumstances.

The gifts, although not of great material value, show the concern and companionship of the Trade Union organization and businesses towards union members, workers and students in difficult circumstances.
Promoting digital transformation
At the program, the Cao Lanh Ward Trade Union officially launched two digital transformation models including "Digital Member Mailbox" and "Each Member - A Digital Skill".

Through QR codes integrated on smartphones, union members and workers can send opinions, petitions, and reflections directly to the Standing Committee of the Ward Trade Union quickly, conveniently, securely and transparently. This is a solution that contributes to innovating the method of interaction between the Trade Union organization and union members, improving the efficiency of receiving and processing information and strengthening the connection between union members and the organization.
The model "Each union member - One digital skill" aims to equip each union member with at least one practical digital skill, gradually improving the ability to apply technology in work and life, meeting the digital transformation requirements of the Trade Union organization.

Immediately after the launch ceremony, union members and workers participated in a training class on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and ChatGPT in work and life. The training content focuses on AI exploitation skills for document processing, information search, communication content building, improving work efficiency and adapting to the trend of digital transformation.
Live dialogue
Within the framework of the program, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Trade Union of Cao Lanh ward organized a dialogue forum with the theme "Listening to union members and people speak".

Many opinions focused on contents related to regimes, policies, employment, social security, digital transformation, trade union activities and people's livelihood issues in the area.
Contents under authority have been directly answered by local leaders; recommendations that need time to be processed continue to be recorded for consideration and resolution according to regulations.
