Businesses support grassroots trade unions to give gifts to workers
At Southern Rubber Industry Joint Stock Company (CASUMINA), in addition to the 2026 Lunar New Year bonus of 3 months' salary (months 13, 14, 15) according to the average actual salary received for 12 months, this enterprise also offers a New Year bonus of 2 million VND for each employee. The company also pays seniority bonus of 150,000 VND/person/year, depending on the number of years worked for the company, the employee will receive different seniority bonuses.
In addition, from the proposal of the grassroots trade union, the General Director of the company decided to give each person a Tet gift including 15kg of rice, a gift including Tet wine and jam and some detergent products... worth 1.6 million VND/gift.
This gift was supposed to be taken from trade union financial resources, but the company decided to give it to union members and employees on behalf of the grassroots trade union. This is both an encouragement and a thank you to employees for working wholeheartedly with the company in the past year, and also a support for the grassroots trade union to take care of employees" - Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khoat, General Director of CASUMINA said.
The grassroots trade union of Nissei Electric Vietnam Company is also busy preparing to take care of Tet for more than 1,520 employees of the company. According to Ms. Tran Thi Hong Van - Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union of Nissei Electric Vietnam Company, the Board of Directors of the company recently announced Tet bonuses for employees. Accordingly, the average Tet bonus for employees is 2 months' salary, equivalent to 17 million VND/person; the highest level is 2.2 months' salary, the lowest is 1.8 months' salary. Most employees are excited about this bonus level.
In addition to the company's Tet bonus, the grassroots trade union also gives each union member and employee a gift including a box of soft drinks, cakes, 2 liters of cooking oil, 2 packages of seasoning powder and 1kg of sugar. "These gifts are very practical for employees' families during Tet, helping employees have more flavor of the Trade Union organization in the first days of reunion" - Ms. Van said.
Both receiving company gifts and receiving trade union gifts
Mr. Luu Kim Hong - Chairman of the Trade Union of Nidec Vietnam Company - informed that the company has announced that it will pay Tet bonuses to employees on January 30th. The beneficiaries are employees who have worked until the bonus payment date. The Tet bonus is 1.1 months' salary and salary allowance of December 2025, applied to employees who have worked for the company for 1 year or more. For employees working from 2 months to less than 1 year, they are rewarded according to the working month ratio, and employees working less than 2 months are rewarded 500,000 VND.
In addition, the company also supports 100% of the cost of cars (seats) for employees working for the company for 10 years or more, 90% of the cost for employees working for less than 10 years to return to their hometowns for Tet; if employees need to use sleeper buses, they pay the difference between seating and sleeping tickets. The grassroots trade union also gives each union member and employee a gift worth 500,000 VND.
In particular, this year, from the proposal of the grassroots trade union, Nidec Vietnam Company decided to give 2 more days of special leave to 193 workers whose hometowns in the Central region were damaged by recent storms and floods to support their families. This 2-day special leave period is calculated from January 1 to the end of February 28, 2026.
Currently, we are still requesting the company to support 100% of the cost of buses to return home for Tet for workers in the Central region and are waiting for the company to answer" - Mr. Hong added.
Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Dai - Chairman of the Trade Union of Juki Vietnam Company - shared that the company has sent a Tet bonus notice to the Trade Union. Accordingly, employees will be rewarded from 1 to 1.65 months' salary, depending on the assessment and classification of labor in the year. This bonus level includes basic salary and allowances, and also depends on the number of months employees work for the company in the year. For management levels, it is decided by the company. The company also rewards employees each with a Tet gift worth 400,000 VND.
Mr. Dai added that every year the grassroots trade union usually gives employees a gift worth 500,000 VND. And this year, the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union is calculating to possibly increase the value of the grassroots trade union's gifts for union members and employees.
