Towards the grassroots level to care for union members and workers
Dong Nai City currently has 58 industrial parks established and many industrial clusters, attracting thousands of domestic and foreign businesses along with about 800,000 workers, civil servants, and laborers. According to the Dong Nai City Labor Federation, in the past time, Dong Nai Trade Union levels have promoted many comprehensive care activities for workers from welfare and social security to improving spiritual life.
In particular, during Workers' Month 2026, care activities are being implemented practically and effectively, creating a clear mark at each facility. Typically, at the grassroots trade union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Thanh Phu Industrial Park, Tan Trieu Ward, Dong Nai City) with more than 40,000 union members, it is one of the enterprises with the most workers in the whole city. The grassroots trade union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. effectively organized a series of activities to care for union members and workers in Workers' Month 2026 such as: visiting and giving gifts to workers living in boarding houses; giving gifts to workers in difficult circumstances; awarding "Kind Embrace"; awarding "Trade Union Home"; organizing Karaoke Contests, Traditional Men's and Women's Football Tournaments... Mr. Dang Tuan Tu - Chairman of the grassroots trade union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said: The activities to care for and express gratitude to union members and workers in Workers' Month 2026 are all focused on grassroots levels; at the same time, raising awareness and responsibility for occupational safety and hygiene, contributing to building a safe, stable and sustainable working environment.
And Mr. Dinh Sy Phuc - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of TKG Taekwang Vina Company (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Tran Bien Ward, Dong Nai City) - said that with the number of workers of the company of more than 34,000 people, the trade union coordinates with the company's board of directors to organize programs to care for union members and workers and will be implemented in turn from now until the end of May 2026.
Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Bui Thi Bich Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai City Labor Federation, said that Dong Nai Trade Union levels have identified a strong direction towards grassroots levels, taking workers as the center and have focused on synchronously implementing many practical activities to comprehensively care for both material and spiritual life for union members and workers. Prominent is the organization of delegations to visit, encourage, give gifts and provide timely support to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, who have suffered from labor accidents, occupational diseases or serious illnesses. In parallel, cultural, artistic, and sports activities have been promoted, contributing to improving spiritual life and creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere among union members and workers.
In 2026, the Dong Nai City Labor Federation will organize many rich and practical activities such as: Worker Family Day, Worker Culture Day, health and psychological counseling programs, reproductive health care. Along with that is the implementation of trade union welfare booths, preferential sales programs, discounts right at businesses and workers' boarding houses, thereby creating conditions for workers to access essential services and goods at reasonable costs.
The City Labor Federation also strengthens coordination with businesses to improve working conditions and welfare for workers. The focus is on improving the quality of shift meals, supplementing meals for workers working overtime or working in heavy and hazardous environments. At the same time, focus on organizing periodic health check-ups and thematic check-ups for female workers and specialized labor groups, thereby contributing to protecting and taking care of long-term health for workers.
Launching an initiative movement, technical innovation, and promoting digital transformation
Vice Chairman of Dong Nai City Labor Federation Bui Thi Bich Thuy also said that besides traditional care activities, the City Labor Federation also focuses on encouraging and launching initiative movements, technical improvements, and promoting digital transformation in the workforce, thereby promoting the subjective role of employees in the business development process. For the grassroots level, the City Labor Federation directs grassroots trade unions to base on the actual conditions of each enterprise to proactively coordinate with employers to organize appropriate and effective activities. Strive for 70% of grassroots trade unions in enterprises with 300 or more employees to organize at least one activity to respond to Workers' Month, ensuring widespread spread and going into substance.
In parallel, the Trade Union strengthens coordination with businesses in caring for workers' lives such as: improving meal quality, organizing health check-ups, supporting unexpected difficult cases, building a safe working environment and launching initiative movements and technical improvements. When workers' rights are guaranteed and businesses improve productivity and production efficiency, the benefits of both sides will be harmonious and sustainable.
In the coming time, the Dong Nai City Trade Union will continue to better care for material life by expanding union member welfare programs, housing support, health care, improving the quality of meals, supporting workers in difficult circumstances and connecting preferential services for workers.
Along with that, the City Trade Union continues to improve spiritual life by developing cultural and sports facilities, organizing many cultural and artistic playgrounds, workers' festivals, and activities for workers' children, helping employees feel secure and attached to the business for a long time.
At the same time, the City Trade Union promotes vocational skills and digital skills training, launches initiative and innovation movements to help workers improve their skills, increase income and adapt to the digital transformation and modern industry.
