Taking workers as the center
Sin Quyen copper mine is located in Bat Xat commune, Lao Cai province, currently the largest copper mine in Vietnam with a total reserve of about 53.5 million tons of ore. Sin Quyen Copper Mining Branch, Lao Cai - Vimico is a unit under TKV Mineral Corporation, with a total exploitation capacity of 2.5 million tons of ore/year.
With 1,370 employees, in the period of 2023 - 2025, the branch will maintain stable production, with an average income of 19 million VND/person/month, ensuring occupational safety, hygiene and environmental protection.
Not only a "connecting bridge" between workers and enterprises, the Trade Union of Sin Quyen Copper Mining Branch, Lao Cai is also a solid support for each union member to feel secure in sticking with and contributing. From the motto of "taking workers as the center", many emulation movements and technical innovation initiatives have been strongly spread, contributing to improving productivity and production and business efficiency.
The emulation movement "Good workers - Creative workers" spread strongly. The entire branch has registered 60 technical innovation initiatives, bringing a profit value of more than VND 13.1 billion. In particular, many outstanding individuals were honored at the " Glory of Miners" Program, organized by TKV Trade Union. 31 employees were recognized as excellent workers at the Corporation level; Group level; 45 employees were awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the Group level; 671 employees were awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level; 34 employees were awarded Certificates of Merit by the General Director; TKV Trade Union...

Accompanying miners in border areas
In addition to the emulation movement, the union also focuses on taking care of the material and spiritual lives of union members. Many practical social security policies have been implemented such as: Buying health insurance for relatives, supporting occupational health check-ups, shift meals, nursing, shuttle buses for workers... with a total amount of more than 18.5 billion VND. The union also supported 2 union members to build new houses worth 220 million VND.
The implementation of democratic regulations is maintained through labor conferences, periodic dialogues, and professional training classes. More than 1,300 union officials have been trained in dialogue and negotiation skills, contributing to building a democratic, public and transparent working environment.
Labor safety and hygiene work has been carried out synchronously. The 163 network of occupational safety and hygiene workers has been active, contributing to maintaining a "Green - Clean - Beautiful" working environment, preventing serious work accidents for many consecutive years.

Every year, the Sin Quyen Copper Mining Branch, Lao Cai launches the Action Month on Labor Safety and Hygiene with the focus on building safe working processes and measures and improving working conditions, reducing workplace stress and Workers' Month with the theme "Connecting workers - Building organizations".
