Helping union members and workers
In Ha Tinh, after the storm, thousands of transformer stations were affected, many power lines and power poles were knocked down. During the rain and wind, officers, workers and employees of Ha Tinh Power Company were always present at the scene, making efforts to restore power to serve the people.
To support cadres, union members and workers, the Union has organized timely support activities through trips carrying water, milk and words of encouragement.
According to Mr. Pham Thanh Hai - Chairman of the Trade Union of Ha Tinh Power Company, in harsh conditions, the Trade Union always accompanies union members so that they can work with peace of mind. Under the direction of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union and the Northern Power Corporation Trade Union, practical gifts were quickly delivered to workers in a timely manner.
In many units, Trade Union groups and female workers proactively go to the market, cook, work shifts, take care of logistics and support colleagues on the scene. The meals, drinks, medicine, and handicrafts brought to colleagues are just as hard, sometimes having to wade through water at the breast, creating a spirit of solidarity and attachment of a whole group of workers. Some places, such as the Cam Xuyen Power Management Team, knew that food purchases would be difficult immediately after the storm, so the Union assigned women to prepare food. Therefore, as soon as the storm passed, the women had enough ingredients to cook nutritious meals to bring to the scene for their colleagues...
As for Lao Cai Power Company, the Trade Union has urgently reviewed and grasped the damage situation of the units, and at the same time decided to allocate 114,000,000 VND from the Company's Trade Union's Economic Support Fund to promptly support 57 families of officers and employees who suffered heavy losses due to the impact of storms and floods. The Company's Trade Union has based on the actual damage level of each case to organize visits and provide direct support, ensuring the right subjects, timeliness and transparency.
During the recent flood, many officers and employees of the company were on duty 24/7 at the scene, regardless of rain or wind, to fix the problem and restore power supply to people, even in cases of flooded private houses and damaged property...
Implementing social responsibility
As soon as the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor called for mobilization to support people affected by storms and floods, the Vietnam Bank Trade Union requested that all levels of the Trade Union in the system, based on the actual conditions of each unit, organize to mobilize cadres, union members and workers to actively participate in responding to the Appeal of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on donating and supporting people affected by storms and floods, contributing to the whole country in supporting people to overcome the damage.
Responding to the call, the Trade Union and Vietnam National Shipping Lines launched a campaign to support people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10 with a campaign level of 1 day's salary for social insurance contributions. The deadline for donating is October 15, 2025.
In addition to making donations and supports, the leaders of the corporation called on each cadre and employee, with all resources, abilities, and all forms to join hands to support, share, and help people in localities affected by storm No. 10.
The Vietnam Construction Trade Union also requested its affiliated trade unions to coordinate with the professional propaganda and mobilization of agencies, units, enterprises, cadres, civil servants, public employees, union members, and workers to uphold the spirit of solidarity and "mutual love" to actively participate in supporting, sharing, and providing material and spiritual support to people facing difficulties due to storms and floods.
