Diversifying forms of health care for workers
In the third quarter of 2025, trade unions at all levels in the industry coordinated with specialized agencies to organize for 45,338 workers and civil servants to go on tours and vacations, including 42,615 domestic trips and 2,723 trips abroad. Accumulated to 9 months, 9,696 workers and civil servants were given money to organize their own tours and vacations. 839 worker families have been organized for sightseeing and vacations (4 people/family).
The total amount of money that the units spent on employees for sightseeing and vacations in the third quarter was more than 271 billion VND; accumulated 9 months of organizing 78,387 employees to go sightseeing and vacations, including 75,394 domestic trips and 2,993 trips abroad. The total amount spent on sightseeing and vacations for 9 months is more than 456.28 billion VND.
In addition, the units also organized 5,951 people for nursing and treatment support with a total amount of more than 30.9 billion VND; TKV Trade Union has directed 52 affiliated trade unions to organize for 2,500 workers to go to nursing and recover according to the plan with the support level of TKV Trade Union being 1,712.000 VND/person, the total support amount is 4.28 billion VND.
Trade unions at all levels in the industry also visited sick and hospitalized workers, supported 6,313 workers in difficulty with an amount of 14.8 billion VND. In the first 9 months of the year, trade unions at all levels visited 17,216 cadres and workers in difficulty, and their families had a wedding ceremony with a total amount of more than 44 billion VND.
Also in the third quarter of 2025, units organized the Union Meal program with the participation of 54,197 people with a total value of VND 7,515,642,758. Of which, the trade union source is 2.42 billion VND.
In particular, the units have organized periodic health check-ups for 35,856 workers, of which 8,313 workers received additional specialist examinations and pre-cancer examinations. There are 153 workers whose lungs are washed at the Coal - Mineral Hospital. Accumulated to 9 months of periodic health check-ups for 83,008 workers and civil servants, of which 14,998 were examined by a specialist; 433 workers were assigned to have lung washing, of which 365 people had their lungs washed.
Actively implement the Workers' Housing program
According to Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the TKV Trade Union, continuing to implement the Resolution of the TKV Trade Union Executive Committee on housing care for workers, in the third quarter, the Standing Committee of the TKV Trade Union issued a set of criteria for scoring and reviewing 150 applications for support in the first phase of 2025. As a result, 82 families of 27 affiliated trade unions met the criteria. During this time, 7 worker families were also approved to build policy houses.
Currently, the whole group has 22 units with collective housing areas, with a total of 4,814 collective housing rooms, including 3,636 rooms for single households and 1,133 rooms for households. The units have organized 58 activities to build a "Clean - Civilized" workers' housing area.
One of the meaningful activities that everyone in the workers' union areas responded to was "Green Saturday" with environmental sanitation activities. TKV Trade Union organizes inspections of the activities of workers' collective housing areas of 14 units in Quang Ninh.
In the first 9 months of the year, the units spent 26.1 billion VND to repair and invest in purchasing equipment for the collective housing areas, of which the trade union source was 1 billion VND.
