On October 8, Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) said that from the beginning of 2025 to now, 2,341 children have received support from the TKV Trade Union, each child received 1 million VND/visit, divided into 2 visits - on the occasion of the Children's International Day of June 1 and the Mid-Autumn Festival.
At the same time, TKV Trade Union visited and presented gifts to 27 schools, kindergartens, and nurseries associated with units in the Group, with a total amount of 230 million VND.
This is an annual activity demonstrating the concern and sharing of the trade union organization with the educational institutions where the children of miners are studying, contributing to fostering a better environment for raising children.
It is known that on the occasion of the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival, TKV Trade Union issued a decision to support 1,244 children, each child with 1 million VND, and gave gifts to 14 schools and kindergartens.
TKV Trade Union directly organized a working group to visit and present gifts to Huong Duong Kindergarten (Da Nang) - where the children of workers at Nong Son Coal Company are studying. The remaining schools and school locations are authorized by the grassroots unions to visit and give gifts to the children, ensuring thoughtfulness, correct subjects and timeliness.
Not only doing the authorized work, many grassroots units also proactively organize additional programs such as "Full Moon Festival Night", "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival", giving gifts to children and workers' families to create a warm, joyful and cohesive atmosphere in the whole industry. The gifts, although simple, contain affection, responsibility and deep sharing from the trade union organization and enterprise for the miners and their families.
TKV Trade Union affirms that it will continue to accompany grassroots units, expand activities to care for and support workers' children during holidays and Tet; contribute to building the image of Disciplinary and Monogamous miners not only in production but also in life - Mr. Le Thanh Xuan said.
