On November 17, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy - Vice President of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor (GFF) - said that according to the latest statistics, storm No. 13 damaged more than 900 houses of union members and workers in the province.

However, the review process found that there were some cases of insignificant damage but were still included in the list of proposed support. Therefore, the Provincial Federation of Labor is reviewing the entire list to ensure that the support fund is given to the right beneficiaries who suffered heavy damage due to the storm.
According to Ms. Thuy, on November 14, from the support of 500 million VND from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan directly presented 120 gifts (2 million VND/gift) to 120 union members and workers who lost their homes and suffered heavy damage in storm No. 13. The remaining funding is being implemented by the Provincial Federation of Labor.
In addition to support from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor is considering a support level of 5 million VND for cases of partial collapse and roof demolition; 2 million VND for cases of complete roof demolition, severe damage; 1 million VND for cases of partial roof demolition and other damages.

After the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor agreed on the support policy and the lists were carefully reviewed and identified the correct subjects, the support implementation will be implemented immediately.
Ms. Thuy affirmed that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor will ensure the giving of gifts to the right subjects, in accordance with regulations, so that each support portion can truly reach union members and workers affected by natural disasters.
Ms. Nguyen Ai Hong (born in 1995, residing in De Gi commune) - a worker at FLC Quy Nhon Golf and Resort Joint Stock Company - said that storm No. 13 collapsed a corner of a house, blew off almost the entire roof, causing damage of about 60 million VND.
"The house only has one corner with a roof for temporary living and storage of belongings. During the rainy season, it is very inconvenient, my family is saving money to temporarily repair the house, to take shelter from the thunderstorms. The attention of the Trade Union at this time is really warm," Ms. Hong shared.
