Closely following the leadership of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in 2025, the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation proactively coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee, departments, boards, and branches to synchronously implement many political tasks, focusing strongly on the grassroots level, taking union members and workers as the center.
A prominent highlight is the work of caring for the material and spiritual life of workers. Trade union levels in the province have mobilized over 64 billion VND to support more than 82,000 turns of union members and workers through the "Tet Sum vay" program; completed 92 "Trade Union Homes" with a total budget of 4.05 billion VND.
Promptly visiting and supporting union members affected by storm No. 10. From the "Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union Social Fund", 185 union members received unexpected difficulty allowances with a total amount of 92.5 million VND.
Along with that, the activities of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers continue to be strengthened. The whole province maintains 266 collective labor agreements, of which 36 are newly signed for the first time, contributing to improving working conditions, income, and welfare for workers.
Organization development work achieved positive results with 38 newly established grassroots trade unions, 3,282 union members admitted; 827 outstanding union members introduced to the Party for consideration, fostering, and admission.
At the conference, Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem requested members of the Executive Committee and the Inspection Committee to continue to promote their roles and responsibilities, proactively advise and effectively organize the implementation of assigned tasks.
The focus is on promoting propaganda on the resolutions of the Party, the Fatherland Front and the Vietnam Trade Union; organizing well activities to care for the interests and welfare of union members and workers, especially during the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
The Trade Union must promptly grasp the thoughts, life, jobs, and incomes of workers; play a good role in representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members; strengthen collective dialogue and negotiation, focusing on salaries, bonuses, working conditions, occupational safety and health and the quality of shift meals," emphasized the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation.
On this occasion, authorized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation awarded the Creative Labor Certificate to 2 individuals; the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Medal "For the cause of building and developing Lao Cai province" to 2 individuals; the Provincial Labor Federation received a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for outstanding achievements in coordination of action in 2025.
Also at the conference, the Executive Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation launched an emulation movement and signed an emulation agreement in 2026 with the theme: "Union members and workers emulation in innovation - Promoting digital transformation - Improving productivity and efficiency".
