Trade union organizes survival skills training for workers' children

Responding to the launch of the Hanoi Labor Federation and Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward on the Action Month for Children, the Trade Union of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward coordinated with the Ward Health Station to organize a communication course "Skills in preventing accidents, injuries and drowning prevention" for teenagers and children who are children of workers in the area.

Directly teaching and guiding at the communication course is a team of experienced lecturers. Thanks to the approachable and lively communication method, the children have practiced basic first aid skills, identified accident risks and firmly grasped safety principles when exposed to the water environment. The atmosphere of the class was lively with a series of interactive questions, laughter and excitement clearly visible on each of the children's faces, which is proof of a good practice of the Ward Trade Union.

This also shows that the Ward Trade Union has grasped the needs of union members and workers in ensuring the safety of their children. More than just a skills training session, the program is a practical gift that the Trade Union organization sends to each family of union members and workers. When children are safe and equipped with knowledge to protect themselves from life's risks, especially summer drowning, parents themselves will truly feel secure in their work and be confident in their labor.

Another noteworthy point is the valuable joint efforts and close coordination from the Ward Health Station, the Board of Directors, and the Executive Committee of the School Trade Union that have dedicated time and enthusiasm to the program. Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the Ward Trade Union will continue to research, innovate and replicate practical care models for workers, especially life skills education programs, ensuring safety for children. This is both a responsibility and a commitment of the Trade Union organization to accompany each union member's family.

Reality shows that in the past time, the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward Trade Union has had many good ways to make workers clearly see the benefits of joining the Vietnam Trade Union organization. This is one of the important factors for the Ward Trade Union to achieve 225% of the target of establishing grassroots trade unions before the end of the first 6 months of 2026. The Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward Trade Union continues to promote the work of mobilizing, supporting and guiding businesses in the area to establish grassroots trade unions, striving to reach 300% of the assigned target by the end of 2026 (equivalent to 12 grassroots trade unions), thereby constantly expanding the network of grassroots trade unions, increasing the coverage rate of trade union organizations in non-state sector enterprises.
