HCMC - HCMC Trade Union has transferred about 420 tons of goods to support people in flooded areas in Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa provinces.

On November 25, the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union organized all 13 trucks carrying relief goods to people in flooded areas.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union, after 4 days of mobilization, the unit has received about 420 tons of goods including: rice, instant noodles, drinking water, candy, medicine, clothes, blankets, etc.

The Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union has re-classified goods, packaged and loaded them onto trucks and containers to transport to people in flooded areas. The total amount of goods transported to date has reached 380 tons, and about 40 tons are being loaded onto vehicles, expected to depart for the provinces this evening.

Currently, the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union is receiving contributions from grassroots trade unions, enterprises and philanthropists.

According to the records, responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union, many export production enterprises in the Binh Duong area (formerly) have organized donations and joined hands to support people in flooded areas.

In Di An ward, workers of Pungkook SaiGon II Company Limited donated clothes to people in flooded areas. The clothes are washed, folded and carefully packaged before being delivered to the collection points.

In Ben Cat ward, the Trade Union of Tans Vietnam Co., Ltd. organized a fundraising event to send practical gifts and fill with love to people in flooded areas. Workers at the company contributed money and goods to support people affected by floods.
