On June 14, Mr. Tran Duy Thanh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Binh Thuan province, authorized by the Binh Thuan Provincial Labor Federation, presented the union's support to the family of union member L.T.T.T, a grassroots union of a garment company under the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of the province - who died of a serious illness.
The support amount is 10,000,000 VND taken from the regular operating budget of the Binh Thuan Provincial Federation of Labor. To receive this support, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Binh Thuan province has instructed grassroots trade unions to complete procedures, documents and, together with the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations, the Department of Finance under the Binh Thuan Provincial Federation of Labor, proposed to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor.
Previously, at the end of May, a female worker T.T.K.Y (born in 1994, residing in Ham Duc commune) was a union member of a garment company under the Phan Thiet City Labor Federation in a traffic accident and died on the way to work.
The Phan Thiet City Labor Federation has instructed grassroots unions to prepare documents and, together with the Committees, proposed the Standing Committee of the Binh Thuan Provincial Labor Federation to support the regime for female workers. After that, the Chairman of the Binh Thuan Provincial Labor Federation directly visited and presented 10,000,000 VND in support to the family of this female worker.
These are the 2 most recent cases of worker deaths supported by the union in the province. The trade unions at the grassroots level said that they have made efforts and urgently completed the documents to propose and provide timely support to the families of the deceased workers to partly share the pain of loss with the families.
Also through the visit and sharing activities with workers' families, the Binh Thuan Provincial Federation of Labor affirmed that caring for union members and workers is always one of the top tasks of the trade union organization.
