For nearly a month, many activities towards workers have been organized enthusiastically in Binh Thuan. Hundreds of female workers in difficult circumstances working at Ham Kiem 2 Industrial Park were organized by the Binh Thuan Provincial Federation of Labor under the program "Your Health" to check for reproductive health and screen for cancer for women.
Ms. Mang Thi Luyen said that due to difficult family circumstances, this was the first time she had a periodic reproductive health check-up. Ms. Luyen thanked the Binh Thuan Provincial Trade Union for their concern for female workers in difficulty.
Not only the Binh Thuan Provincial Federation of Labor, but also the trade unions at the grassroots level and the grassroots trade unions have also implemented a series of programs in their capacity to improve the material and spiritual life of workers such as organizing monthly collective birthdays for workers, dialogues, and answering questions about Social Insurance for workers. Thereby, not only promptly resolving arising problems but also building a harmonious, stable and progressive working environment.
"My words are not based on specific actions, especially towards low-income workers and those in difficult circumstances" - Mr. Do Huu Quy - Chairman of the Binh Thuan Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized.
A highlight of this year's Workers' Month in Binh Thuan is the welfare program "Selling at a discount for union members and workers in Binh Thuan province". 2,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with outstanding achievements in labor and production, were given preferential shopping vouchers at the supermarket.
The items are discounted from 30 - 50% or applied to buy one-for-one. This is one of the activities "Thank you to workers" to share the difficulties of union members, recognizing the great contribution of the labor force to the development of the unit and enterprise.
This program further demonstrates the real value of workers and laborers coming to buy goods in large numbers; some union members bought 2 full carts to use for a long time, saving a lot of shopping costs.
Chairman of the Binh Thuan Provincial Federation of Labor Do Huu Quy said: Workers' Month is an opportunity for trade unions to demonstrate their role in representing, caring for, and protecting workers in the most obvious way. After Workers' Month, these activities need to be maintained regularly, maintaining them in practice, and focusing on the value of caring for workers.
