Binh Duong workers volunteer to suck nails to help people in distress

In Binh Duong, in recent years, many groups of volunteer workers have actively participated in community activities. They are dedicated workers who, after work, travel on major roads to remove nails, patch cars, and fill up gas for free, promptly supporting workers who are unfortunate and have problems.

knight sucks nails

In Thuan An city, Binh Duong province, Mr. Phung Huu Hiep (born in 1981), a driver of an export wood manufacturing company, has meticulously manufactured nail suction trucks. Taking advantage of his free time, he travels all over the roads, pulling up nail suction trucks with the desire to help people travel more safely.

Every day, when he is not busy with work at the company, he drives a motorbike towing a homemade nail suction machine all over the roads. The trailer is equipped with a magnet to suck in sharp metal objects that can puncture the tires such as nails, screws, iron pieces... On average, Mr. Hiep sucks a nail suction truck and drives about 20-30km per day on the roads in Thuan An city. Sometimes, he ran to Di An city.

According to Mr. Hiep, most of the nails, screws, and iron pieces on the road were accidentally dropped by people. At night, when motorbikes run fast if they turn right, it is very dangerous. There are metal pieces that motorcyclists roll up right can cause the tire to explode, causing injuries to fall. "I do this voluntarily. When sharp objects that can open the tire that causes an accident are sucked out on this road, people will travel more safely. At that time, I feel happy in my heart" - Mr. Hiep shared.

Realizing that the area was large and he could not handle it all alone, Mr. Hiep "reported" to add a nail suction truck. Up to now, Mr. Hiep has manufactured all about 30 nail suction trucks and delivered them to individuals and wards in Thuan An, Di An, Ho Chi Minh City...

Workers help each other move safely at night

One of the groups receiving nail suction vehicles is the An Phu volunteer SOS team, Thuan An city, Binh Duong province. The team that received the nail suction truck from driver Phung Huu Hiep will give it around 2023. Since then, the group has used vehicles effectively and quietly, helping people travel safely.

Every 2 to 3 days, the team members take turns pulling a homemade vehicle on the roads to suck up nails and scattered iron. Arterial roads such as DT 743, My Phuoc Tan Van road have many dangerous factors. The fallen nails were scattered by the nail suction truck of the collection group to prevent risks for road users.

Mr. Tran Minh Tuan (35 years old, from Kien Giang) - captain of the An Phu Volunteer SOS team - said that the team currently has 10 members, all of whom are workers working in industrial parks. After work, they gather to suck nails, support free parking, fill up gas, and provide first aid to those in distress.

Mr. Tuan said that the team operated from evening to 12:00 at night, some days until 1:00 am. According to Mr. Tuan, most of the people who unfortunately encountered the incident were workers working the night shift. Some people ran out of gas, some had tattoos, some fell off a motorbike. At night, gas stations and auto repair shops stopped operating, with few people traveling. Therefore, workers who encountered the incident had a very hard time...

Tuan's SOS team is on duty on the roads in the An Phu intersection. Prepare tools to patch the tattoo and fill up gas for free for people in need. For the injured, the team called the police and reported to local authorities. Operating since 2023, the team has helped hundreds of workers have nighttime incidents.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Linh (27 years old, from Dak Lak), an active member of the team, shared: I came to Binh Duong to work as a worker at a wood company since 2020. Realizing that this work was meaningful, I decided to join the team from 2023. Every day, after work, I go to An Phu ward to support people who are unfortunate or have incidents on the road. Seeing people travel safely, I feel happy and motivated to continue this work.
