According to initial reflections, on April 19, the locality received information about this project showing signs of unsafety during dismantling, threatening adjacent houses. Through inspection, functional forces determined that the incident arose when demolishing the block of houses in the North, adjacent to Tran Quy Cap street.

The incident caused the house number 27 Tran Quy Cap to collapse completely. Houses from number 29 to 33 showed cracks in the walls and damaged many items. Fortunately, the incident did not cause any casualties.

Immediately after the incident occurred, functional agencies requested to stop construction, and at the same time, the police force blockaded the scene to serve the investigation and verification of the cause.

On April 20, Da Nang City Police coordinated with specialized units, Hai Chau Ward People's Committee, the investor is Vinatex Da Nang Joint Stock Company, along with the construction unit and related households to conduct scene examination and make a record of the incident.

Regarding management regulations, Hai Chau Ward People's Committee said that it currently does not require licensing for construction dismantling activities. However, the investor must ensure implementation according to the safety plan throughout the construction process.

Previously, on April 6, local authorities reminded relevant units about covering and ensuring safety. For the act of causing the collapse of adjacent works, the Ward People's Committee will prepare a dossier to handle administrative violations according to the provisions of Decree 16/2022/ND-CP.

Currently, the case is being handled by the Investigation Police Agency of Da Nang City Police, waiting for the results of the cause assessment and assessment of the extent of damage to handle according to legal regulations.
