Many practical cares
According to the conference report, in the past year, the Nam Song Hau Emulation Cluster has made great efforts in building organizations and activities for the rights and interests of union members. With the theme "Connecting workers, building organizations", the Labor Federations of the provinces in the cluster have organized activities for Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health with many practical and effective contents.
Main activities include visiting and giving gifts to employees; organizing dialogues, thank-you programs for employees; propagating and mobilizing union members, employees, and employers to raise awareness, consciousness, and responsibility in implementing regulations on occupational safety and hygiene; participating in coordination with inspection agencies to inspect compliance with laws on labor, occupational safety and hygiene, social insurance, etc.
The provinces have 1,262/442 trade unions of agencies and enterprises organizing Workers' Month activities, reaching 285.52% of the target assigned by the General Confederation of Labor. As a result, trade unions at all levels gave gifts to 12,903 union members and workers in difficult circumstances with a total amount of VND 5,648 billion.
The Tet Sum Vay program and Workers' Month activities spread widely among all levels of trade unions, receiving the attention of Party committees, active support from authorities at all levels, employers and the whole society, contributing to supporting and helping union members and workers overcome difficulties and strive to improve their lives.
Activities continue to be innovated, focusing on the grassroots, paying practical attention to union members and workers such as: providing subsidies for difficulties, work-related accidents, occupational diseases, those affected by natural disasters, epidemics, visiting and giving gifts, supporting the construction and repair of Union Shelters, charity houses, giving scholarships, school supplies, granting savings books...
In addition to the achievements, the work of developing union members of the Cluster has not met the planned target, especially in the non-state sector. Many small enterprises with production and business difficulties have stopped operations or dissolved, and some large enterprises have cut down on their workforce, leading to a significant decrease in the number of union members.
Focus on taking care of Tet for union members and workers
Speaking at the conference, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung said that trade union activities in 2024 had great influence and received consensus from society.
The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor praised the achievements of the Nam Song Hau Emulation Cluster in the past time. Despite many difficulties, the Labor Confederations in the Cluster have made great efforts to overcome and complete many targets.
