On the afternoon of December 29, at the Gia Lai Provincial Conference Center, the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation (LDLD) organized the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030 (first session).
Attending the congress were Mr. Doan Duc Han - Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department, Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; Mr. Bui Manh Hoa - Deputy Head of the Organization Committee of the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; along with 200 official delegates, representing more than 80,000 trade union members.
The Congress aims to summarize and evaluate the results of the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLD) and Trade Union activities for the term 2023-2028; determine goals, directions, and tasks for the term 2025-2030; participate in opinions on the draft documents of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2026-2031; participate in opinions on amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; announce Decisions appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee and key positions in the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee of Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation, term I, term 2025-2030; announce Decisions appointing delegates to attend the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2026-2031.
In the first working session, delegates unanimously elected the Presidium, the Secretariat, and the Appraisal Board as delegates; approved the program and working regulations; and reported the appraisal results.
Representatives of the Presidium presented a summary report of opinions participating in the documents of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; a review report of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation for the term 2023-2028, submitted to the 1st Congress of the Provincial Trade Union, term 2025-2030.
At the first working session, delegates also listened to presentations on the topics: Organizing and mobilizing union members and workers to implement emulation movements, contributing to socio-economic development; Promoting the role of grassroots trade unions in representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers of enterprises; Solutions to improve the quality of operations of grassroots trade unions in non-state sector enterprises.
Right before the first session of the congress took place, delegates came to report achievements and offer flowers at the Nguyen Sinh Sac - Nguyen Tat Thanh Monument (Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, Quy Nhon ward); opened the booth exhibition, introduced products; summarized and awarded prizes for the "Workers and workers harmonize with the dance of the great forest" contest.
