100% trust in the Trade Union organization
The survey team of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor conducted a survey on the situation of labor relations, workers and trade unions (CD) of 3 companies: Stanley Vietnam Electricity Company Limited, Canon Vietnam Company Limited, Matsuo Industries Vietnam Company Limited. In which, the delegation directly visited employees at the production line of Stanley Vietnam Electricity Company Limited.
The working session with Stanley Vietnam Electricity Company Limited was attended by Mr. Maruyama Tsuyoshi - General Director; Akira Kikuchi - Senior Executive Director; Ngo Ngoc Vinh - Executive Director, Chairman of the Company's Trade Union; Nguyen Huy Khanh - Vice Chairman of the Hanoi City Labor Federation.
The survey team and the leaders of the Trade Union Company discussed the advantages and difficulties in the workers' movement and trade union activities. The company has over 2,000 employees, 100% of union members and employees working here are signed labor contracts based on current legal regulations. In recent years, the company's Trade Union Executive Board has discussed and proposed to the business leadership to carry out many practical and specific care activities for employees. Thereby receiving the absolute trust and support and always accompanying of the Japanese leadership.
The effectiveness of that coordination is that a Workers' Cultural Activity Point has been built to improve the cultural and spiritual life of workers. Every year, the company invests in additional facilities for cultural activities. Up to now, the Company has an Outdoor Sports Complex including 2 tennis courts, 3 pickleball courts, 1 soccer court, fishing lake, and outdoor landscape garden. The indoor sports cluster includes: Computer room, library room, Yoga room, Zumba, Bida room and Golf practice room equipped with many types of modern exercise machines... with a total investment of more than 40 billion VND.
Responding to the question of Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu about the trust and appreciation of the Japanese leadership in the company's trade union, Mr. Maruyama Tsuyoshi - General Director of the company - affirmed that he has 100% confidence in the trade union organization. Because the company's Trade Union is very active in organizing activities to support workers in difficulty, instructing workers to raise awareness of labor safety..., contributing significantly to the development of the enterprise.
Sustainable labor relations are built from giving
Analyzing the importance of the trade union organization, Mr. Maruyama Tsuyoshi said that the company pays a lot of attention, including funding and facilities for trade unions and employees, because it invests in trade unions so that the trade union can take good care of employees, thereby increasing motivation for employees to work. On the same day, the survey team listened to and learned about the situation of labor relations, workers and trade unions of the Trade Union of Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd. and the Trade Union of Matsuo Industries Vietnam Co., Ltd.
According to the Report of the Hanoi City Labor Federation, trade unions at all levels have proactively coordinated with authorities and peer-level experts to direct the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level. Over the past 3 years, the Trade Union at the grassroots level (formerly) has coordinated with the authorities at the same level to organize 142 dialogues with workers. 73.48% of trade unions coordinated with employers to organize dialogues between trade unions - employers - employees to promptly resolve recommendations and proposals from union members and employees. Enterprises have also paid more attention to dialogue activities, especially dialogue on cases when developing salary scales, salary tables, rules, regulations, labor plans, retraining plans and arising issues related to employees. Thereby contributing significantly to building harmonious and sustainable labor relations in enterprises.
Speaking at the survey, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized the role of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new context with many opportunities and challenges, requiring innovation to affirm the role of the only organization representing workers.
