On the morning of March 20, in Can Tho, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology (S&T) organized a Conference to summarize 15 years of implementing Resolution 68/NQ-BCH, Directive No. 03/CT-TLĐ; Preliminary review of the Emulation Movement "Good at work, good at home" for the period 2020-2025.
Speaking at the Conference, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong assessed: The emulation movement "Good at state affairs, good at housework" has been widely deployed by the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union, associated with the political tasks of the industry and each agency and unit; contributing to arousing the spirit of responsibility, creativity and will to rise up of female cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers.
In the field of science and technology, the team of female workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLĐ) is increasingly affirming its important position and role in scientific research activities, state management, innovation, quality measurement standards, intellectual property, technology transfer and national innovation ecosystem development.
Many female officials and scientists of the sector have had valuable research works, scientific topics, and technical innovation initiatives, making practical contributions to improving the efficiency of state management, promoting the application of science and technology in production and life, serving the socio-economic development of the country.
Also at the Conference, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong requested the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union and trade union levels in the industry to focus on effectively implementing a number of key tasks.
In which, the Standing Vice President of the VGCL clearly stated the requirement to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and the VGCL's resolutions on women's work and gender equality; raise awareness of trade union levels, officials, union members, and workers about the position and role of women in the new development period of the country.
Continue to innovate the content and methods of female labor activities in a practical and effective direction, suitable to the specific characteristics of the science and technology industry; pay attention to caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of female union members and workers; promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of female workers to have appropriate support solutions.
In particular, she requested to promote the emulation movement "Good at state affairs, good at housework" associated with patriotic emulation movements, work programs of the science and technology sector; encourage female workers and employees to actively participate in scientific research, innovation, digital transformation, propose initiatives, and technical improvements to improve productivity, quality and work efficiency...

In every success of the science and technology industry today, there is an important contribution of dedicated, passionate and creative women" - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong emphasized.
She also expressed her wish that the spirit of emulation "Good at state affairs, good at housework" will continue to spread strongly throughout the industry. From there, each female union member of the science and technology industry is always confident, brave, constantly learning, creating and contributing - both excellently completing professional tasks and building happy and warm families.
