It is a useful playground for union members
As one of the 3 grassroots trade unions selected by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation as a pilot in building the "Workers' Cultural Space", the Trade Union of Alena Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. has completed many items, serving well for the activities and entertainment of workers.
Ms. Trinh Thi Nguyet - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Alena Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. - said that initially when starting to build the model, the company's trade union planned and determined that the model construction must be practical, effective, suitable to the needs of employees and have the consensus of the enterprise.
According to Ms. Nguyet, the "Workers' Cultural Space" at the company includes key corners such as: Book reading corner (where equipped with legal bookshelves, newspapers, life skills); traditional corner (where displaying, preserving, introducing the company's traditions, company trade unions, displaying traditional ao dai costumes of the nation); sports corner (where equipped with common sports equipment: weights, jump ropes, chess, Chinese chess, table tennis).
The worker cultural space is implemented in stages, periodically every 1 year, the company's trade union will evaluate based on criteria to adjust and supplement appropriate activities, remove ineffective content, in order to meet sufficient criteria and standards to propose to the Provincial Labor Federation to recognize it as a standard worker cultural space" - Ms. Nguyet said.

Mr. Le Van Dat (worker at Alena Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd.) said that since the company's trade union launched the "Workers' Cultural Space", not only him but many other workers have chosen this as a destination every time they finish work. Here, workers are immersed in a fresh space, relaxing after stressful working hours.
“We are very happy. Because after taking time off work and having lunch, union members come to cultural spaces to relax, sit and read books, read newspapers, play Chinese chess, chess... even many women also come here, choose a small corner to sit and confide, share about life, family and work. Everyone who comes here feels more comfortable, united and shares more. Hopefully in the coming time, the company's trade union will continue to build and add more games and entertainment equipment so that employees can experience, play, and connect more” - Mr. Dat shared.
